We are both disabled my partner is totally blind and I am in a wheelchair. We found the MRT very easy to use they have raised metal bumps in the floor so Blind people can follow them to the lifts. The platforms are level with the trains so wheelchair access is easy I didn't need any help to board. The staff are all very helpful and made it very easy for us to buy tickets, get through barriers etc, thank you
This is a great transport system. Australia needs to see how it is done. Most stations take you to places you would want to visit.
Really good for getting around. Clear signs. So clean and cool to travel
Probably a world beating system
I take the public transport everyday. It is rather overwhelming during the peak hours as there's a massive amount of commuters. Typical asian country scene. However, travelling during the off peak hours is always comfortable. You have your own personal space. Basically, don't travel at 9am and the timing between 6-7pm. Everyone's rushing to or out of work.
This was our challenge this time in Singapore to master the MRT. Last time was a slight disaster and we ended not quite where we wanted to be. However this time with little patience and and a great navigator we manage to understand the not so understandable maps. In the end we were on to it catching trains and navigating our way around with ease. We even managed to get ourselves to the airport with no stress just a glitch for the last bit when we forgot to buy the last leg of our journey That was easy fixed with a visit to the counter and an extra forty cents we landed on the station in the airport. Its easy when you know how. Great system, clean efficient and will use again
