I recently stayed here during a conference. The location is stellar - close to everything. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. If that's all you need then this place is great. However I must add that that the décor is old, definitely not 4 stars. The only really disappointing thing about our stay was the smell on the 11th floor. Just dreadful due to cooking on rooms.

Room tip: If you want quality sleep do not choose a room with a water view

We planned a long weekend visit to the City - only travelling a short distance from the Hutt Valley - the pricing offered by the accom was very good - but the absence of any car parking bumped the cost up - so be aware - the room was tidy & clean, as was the Reception area - friendly staff on check in too ....but with inner city late night activities surrounding this hotel on the weekend - don't expect an early night (very noisy from out side) - upside very close to all that Welly City has to offer - especially the Rooftop Bar 'hopping' down Courtenay

Room tip: take earplugs on the weekend

Dear terryc398,

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am glad you found the hotel's location to be very central and could enjoy the city. In regards to parking, all inner city hotels charge similar and in most cases more than what we charge for parking.

Thank you again for writing and we look forward to welcoming you back.

The rooms are aged and the facilities are not to the room rate you are charged compared to other Accor hotels.
Furniture is tired and the beds are small and well worn. The staff try, but the site is not up to scratch.

Rookie mistake booking the hotel, as the choice is yours to where you stay and spend. The sister hotel is also tired and I don’t want to walk 500m for breakfast

Where to start booked via booking.com who In my experience over sell a lot..

Basically a 30 year old former serviced apartment building presented as a hotel... with the Accor name as the lure.

Run Down. Dirty bathroom. Cold. No on site anything.

And not cheap.

Accor should be ashamed of this one.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations, please accept my sincere apologies.

In order to update the rooms we have an extensive refurbishment planned for next year. However this is not an excuse for dirty bathroom, I will look into this and get this rectified.

I am sorry to have let you down on this occasion, however I hope you will give us another opportunity to make it up to you in near future.

This hotel primarily has apartment style accommodation. There is no bar or restaurant, but you can access this at a partner hotel hotel. The room was a good design. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful.
