Definitely one of the best pizzas I had in Italy, what else I can say?! It was a surprising experience... ;)
This was our first visit to Genoa and we found this absolute gem of a Pizzeria purely by chance. The board outside said it was highly rated on Trip-Advisor, so we just had to go in and try it. We were not disappointed.
We had 8 different styles of Pizza to choose from, the proprietor explained them all to us. He told us how he uses authentic stone ground flours to produce his unique and delicious wholemeal pizza bases.
All of the other reviews of this place that I've read since we got back from our cruise are absolutely true. The place is small with only 8 bar stools and no public toilet.
Unusually, the pizzas are made in oblong trays, and you can have a whole or a half one. I managed three halves.
My only hope is that I will live long enough to go back to Genoa for some more.
Popped in here to get some food quickly. The pizza was very tasty and we had also left a guide book behind which had been kept in a safe place for our return. Thank you !!
Great vegetarian options and a very helpful owner. The base of the pizza is very special and he said it takes about 26 hours of preparation to get this crust. We visited twice and it's great that you can buy halves and thus try more different ones. Located near the house of Christopher Columbus.
