Take 45 minutes out of your walk through the Marais and enjoy the unique, lovely vision of Brancusi; his studio is re-created here, and why? Because he considered the placement of his art in his studio as an art piece in itself. So, they reproduced it! A very special place if you love interior design.
I'm not a fan but his work is amazing. I'm pretty upset that idob't see in this place not even one mention that he's romanian...
For some it may be worth because its quick and free but this is not what this place is about. Its not even about his works because none of the major ones are here. Its about where he spent most of his life and where his creations came to life. It's an honour that a Romanian artist is venerated so much in a place such as Paris and that they build a place just to honour his atelier, his works, his whole life. It was a pleasure to visit.
When in the Centre Pompidou area, don't miss the Brancusi workshop. A small but magical place dedicated to the famous Romanian born sculpturer Brancusi, who travelled to Paris in 1904. His thought provoking works were very influential, as an artist his creations were well ahead of his time and they still feel fresh and modern even to a modern-age art lover. Spend some time to let the impressions sink in and imagine the artist working in this reconstructed workshop. Free of charge, open daily (except Tuesdays) from 14:00 to 18:00.
Atelier Brancusi is a small place who gather some Paris works of the author.it probably will be interesting for those into sculpture since is not so much to see but worth a visit anytime.
We visited after seeing a large exhibition of mostly crude, muddy Russian work at the Pompidou Center. The uplifting, clean design of Brancusi really lifted our spirits. This is a must see. I will make a pilgrimage there whenever I return to Paris!
