Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited the restaurant during our stay in Radda and it was a fantastic experience the food was sublime. The chef is hugely talented and takes the time to talk you through the dishes. Great wine choices and I even had a lesson in recognising a...good Grappa from the chefs dad.More

We visited this restaurant while on tour of northern Italy . The restaurant is beautifully located overlooking the hills of Chianti. We were greeted by the charming owner who was very accommodating and fun to watch as he artfully poured our delicious wines. The food...was very good- pastas , meats and fish cooked in traditional Tuscan style. The restaurant was spacious and not crowded which made the evening delightful. It was located a short walk from our hotel in Radda. This was a marvelous choice.More

This is a family run Restaurant. We were met by the Father and subsequently met his Son who is the Chef. What a passionate and talented Chef he is too. The food was perfectly cooked and presented, the different flavours were amazing. The Chef explained...all dishes to us, chose our wine based upon our preference. A superb relaxed meal which isn’t always easy to find, time between each course, no rushing. We don’t always have 3 courses but felt we had to try the desserts and weren’t disappointed. Perfect, so much so that we booked again for the following evening and were equally impressed. Thank you Andy and TracyMore

We cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Each dish was explained enthusiastically and the attention to detail was high. We all loved our dishes, the steak was so tender, the risotto and fish had many different flavours. The chocolate...mousse was one of the best desserts I’ve had. It would be worth going back for that alone - three types of chocolate were prepared differently beautifully presented. Friendly and family run.More

Attentive waiting staff. Food was very poor. Venison was inedible, mostly gristle. The acoustics in the restaurant were poor, almost to the point where conversation was impossible.

We chose this restaurant for a family celebration for 24 as it offered disabled access which is not common in Italy. The food was delicious and totally fresh. We went with a fixed menu with one or two people having something slightly different due to...their request. The staff were helpful and everyone had a great time and complimented the cook and staff. Recommend 100% for a great evening out.More

The service and food were fine. Although my date did not find his venison dish tender. He wanted the wild boar dish but boar not available. I had the filet and it was very good. We were there at 1900 and had a reservation. When...the bill came we were overcharged for the wine we had ordered. The owner seemed to understand/acknowledge this when we pointed it out and lowered but still not to price listed on menu. Eventually his son came out who spoke better English and said a mistake was made and wrong charge made. We still paid bill as shown although allowing for tip to make up difference.More

The chef is absolutely genius. Difficult to describe: old dishes slightly reinvented in a way that is not pretentious at all, feels perfectly balanced and yet with that innovative twist that makes it surprising. Quality of the ingredients was stunning. Unfortunately our dinner was served...with some large delay that would have upset me on other occasions. Probably because of a complicated order on our side. Other tables went smooth instead. But the quality of the food was so otherwordly that we happily glossed over this. The maitre was friendly and helpful and helped us discover a wine (Chianti Classico Poci) so good we dashed to purchase two boxes the very day after.More

We arrived at 7:15 pm as the restaurant was opening. The owner greeted us and described the menu and his recommendations. The waitress - the owner’s mother - took our order based on those recommendations. However, and unbeknownst to us, she did not speak, or...understand, English. Unfortunately, we don’t speak Italian. So after finishing our first course and another waiter asked if we wanted dessert, we were confused - our main course had not come. Long story short, the highly touted fish entree was presented more than 40 minutes after the owner straightened out the order. The second waiter was clueless and kept promising that the entree was coming. We continually had to ask him for it. Meanwhile, another set of diners came in and then left, apparently due to the poor service. We paid our bill and left. In all fairness, the food was good. The restaurant lacks for competent waitstaff who speak the language of the patrons and don’t misrepresent the status of our meals. Bottom line: kudos to the chef but unless you have two hours to wait, go somewhere else.More

We enjoyed the thoughtful interpretation of traditional Tuscan dishes. Despite other’s comments, we found the service to be good. The semi-enclosed balcony has a pleasant outlook and tables are well spaced, allowing privacy and a quiet ambience. The food was very good and portions were...modest. Considerable care went into each dish and later arrivals had to wait while the backlog in the kitchen cleared. We watched as our pappardelle was hand-rolled and filled. The octopus on a bed of aubergine purée was good, as was the Tuscan variant of tornados Rossini. The roasted pork dish was also appreciated. Deserts were, again, imaginative and modest, leaving you with the sense of a well-judged menu. Highly recommended.More

The moment we walked in, Miguel (owner) and his family greeted and welcomed us so warmly. Our meal was super delicious and fresh. I ordered a yummy tagliatelle with duck ragout and my husband had a special fillet of beef that he really liked -...and of course the wine was exquisite. They were so accommodating with my 7 year old daughter by giving her a half portion pasta with meat sauce. It was our first evening in Radda and visiting La Loggia made a wonderful first impression for us.More

Great kitchen. Terrible service. The chef has great talent and potential. Unfortunately, disconnect between kitchen and waitstaff. We arrived on time for 8pm reservation. Only guests present. Fifteen minutes before waiter arrives at our table. Ordered wine. Brought to table uncorked. After another 15 minutes...he asked if we wanted it opened! Seriously. Ordered appetizers and four entrees for table. Three entrees arrived barely warm. Waiter apparently failed to bring to table from the kitchen, even though we were still the only diners. The fourth entree did not arrive for another 25 minutes. Chef arrived at table, very apologetic. Waiter seemed lost and overwhelmed. Ambience consisted of two broken picture windows - one covered with a noisy plastic sheet. Guests at another inside table brought their dog that barked and howled constantly. I would encourage the young chef to move on quickly, before his reputation is ruined. Additionally, no apologies or the promised 20% discount for early seating.More
