Fine dining in a lovely setting. A short walk across from our stay at Fonterutoli wine resort. Service impeccable. Beautiful presentation carefully prepared for a palate's delight. Small portions as expected.

We had an excellent wine experience in Fonterutoli. We started with a "food/wine tasting" in the osteria, where we had a 4 courses lunch paired with 4 glasses of wine. As starter we had a poached egg with parmesan cream, followed by paccheri with wild...boar ragout and grilled capocollo. As dessert we got tiramisu. All dishes were paired with their own wines and we enjoyed a lot. After lunch we visited their cellars and the guy that took care of our visit did an excellent job; at the end of the visit we tasted 5 more wines produced there and we liked them all.More
They served tiny dishes, we paid 225 uro for 4 persons and left the restaurant hungry. Poor service and very expensive. Not recommended.
We visited this restaurant with my vegetarian daughter and we loved that they took good care of her adapting a few things just for her. The restaurant is elegant with a very interesting menu with unusual parings. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and appreciated...the professional and friendly staff. A final note goes to their extra virgin olive oil, one of the best Tuscan oils in the area.More
Staf: 10/10 they Micheline restaurant staff Atmosphere and location: 10/10 Wine: 10/10 Food: wanna be elite but sadly failing. The food is ok I cant say it was not edible except the starter which was given as introduction meal ( meat ,coconut and mango, man...that is bad) . Pease rather cook traditional and have bigger portions or get a new cook or educate this one because this is high cuisine but is sadly not even average.More
Try outdoor areas (spring-summer). Under a nice tree/garden. We had rabbit salad and octopus salad, both great to start. The cow cheek cooked with wine souce was supreme!
This spot is great for breakfast lunch dinner, good wine list, I would visit again, highly recommended
Lovely space indoors, pretty covered porch, lovely garden and perfect setting. The service was impeccable and the food was very tasty and creative. Loved the wine selections, too! It was a great find on our trip between Siena and Florence. WE'd go again!
Very good Fiorentina. The place is up to date with payment methods too. Only problem was the appetizer of "seafood salad" - which was our mistake for ordering in the middle of Tuscany but really should never have been on the menu in the first...place. Overall quite satisfied.More
Menu 5 out of 10 .. execution 3 out of 10 .. food bland, steak tartare very bland , tomato soup very bland … cod remember this from the old days of buttered cod in a bag …. Service with a snarl in the morning...for breakfast.. no eggs .. you have to look hard for milk, spoons etc .. wouldn’t visit this restaurant again in a hurry.More
High level cooking, service and top wines. A nice located terrace that invites for a romantic dinner. Price/quality correct. Tuscany in style!
Now our third visit to the steria di Fonterutoli - and definitely not our last. This restaurant is one of the best we've tried in our 15 years of vacationning in Tuscany. Everything comes together in an amazing experience - location, food, wines, service -...even the prices will not let you down. IF you have room for desert - do try the Tiramisu - leaves you with the biggest smile on your face :) (NO spoiler)More
This is the most beautiful place I’ve been in a while …….. the scenery is absolute perfection , the atmosphere calm and peaceful, food is great and service is fine. Every dish was perfectly presented. Wine selection is amazing! Restaurant was fully booked . Amazing...place! If your are in the area, it is a must!More
We reserved a table the day before for lunch. Arrived, we asked the owner or the server in charge to seat under the three instead under the gazebo, why? To hot. There was space enoght for 10ppl. But the answer was " in a little...bit it's going to be sunny over there" we says no problem. Then the answer was " no! We need spsce to work" and there was enoght space for walk for at least 20 server. All tables empty, 1.30pm. If I'm the owner i should take and seat immediately 7 ppl dressed nicely, ready to spend enogh money, instead to wait the possible reservations. There is sways a solution. We decide to leave after two bad answers and go to spend $800 at Osteria Squarcialupi in Castellina in Chianti and have an amazing food, service, ambiance and enjoy the big winery cave. Thank God they refuse us.More
Dear Sirs, we regret not having been able to satisfy you, but as we clearly told you on the phone at the time of booking, the tables under the tree were already booked and we only had the dehors area available. By the way we...More
Wonderful setting, top class service and one of our favorite vineyards in Tuscany. Unfortunately the food left us wondering, why the osteria is so well frequented. The starters, primi and secondi all were mediocre, at best. We left somewhat puzzled and disappointed. Maybe the cuisine...tries too hard to cook innovative dishes? But technique is surely lackking…More
