The best gelato in Italy! Amazing flavours! Amarena, Nociola, and Pistachio a few of my favourites. A variety of flavours and able to taste test a few. Worth the visit!

This place was recommended by our taxi driver from Sienna who said this place had the best gelato in the world. He wasn't wrong. We were served the butter biscuit gelato by our hotel nearby and practically licked our bowls. Will dream of this gelato...forever!More
A bit outside center of town but an easy walk to. The flavor of the gelato was exceptional as was the variety of flavors. Worth getting to Castellina to try this shop. Plenty of places the sit and enjoy the gelato. Go for the cup...so you can get 4 scoops!More
We have stayed in Castellina in Chianti a couple of times and discovered this gelato shop on our first visit. I have eaten gelato all over Italy and I've never found any that I liked better than this. The lemon is something you will dream...about after you leave! Honest! We also ordered a couple of ice cream cakes for dessert when we were cooking at our villa one night and my niece licked the plate. It's that good! We visited at least once a day (sometimes twice if we happened to be driving by!) You won't be disappointed!More
The most amazing ice cream and sorbets. I am torn about whether to write this review as I don't want this place to become over-run. Excellent social distancing measures in place. Try the Lime with Basil and the Limone.
In this little tuscany town, we found this ice cream shop with friendly service and interesting ice creams. It tasted good.
Absolutely one of the most flavorful and fresh gelaterias in all of Italy. The buildings and grounds are so very clean and new. Loved it. Thank you very much to our VRBO owner who recommended we stop here. It's certainly a local favorite!
Visited this place as part of a bike tour in the area. The visit included a demonstration in the kitchen and explanation of the process and samples along the way. After that walked back into the shop (5 steps) and got to taste as much...as we wanted. I think I tasted over half the items in the case. WOW!!!!!! Excellent gelato and the best we had in Italy.More
This place was highly recommended and they were right. We went for Gelato twice and each time it was excellent. There is a place in Rome that is also great but this is the best in the Tuscany area. If you are in the area...you have to indulge.More
Very certainly the best gelato that we have had on our trip (and we get gelato every night after dinner). My only complaint is that there were too many great flavors that I wanted to try but my wife told me I had to get...the small dish. But the two flavors I had were incredible. If you want great gelato, this is the place!More
The good thing is you will experience excellent ice cream. The negatives are that you need to spend a few days here to try all the delicious flavours. In addition life outside Castellina and without their ice cream will never be the same again. They...make the ice cream on site and it is famous all over the area. Dont miss itMore
A lovely surprise to find such a splendid little gem on the way out of town. Friendly welcome, huge choice, nice surrounds and superb quality gelato. V recommended and the best gelateria find on our holiday yet.
Castellina in Chianti is a small town with lots to offer -- including one of the best gelaterias we found during our Italian trip. Flavorful, light and smooth, felt very natural. We particularly loved their fiordelatte, bacio, nocciola and something that had ginger in it....We went on a holiday afternoon and this place was packed with locals of all ages. Definitely a must when in the area.More
Drove from Greve twice to eat their wonderful gelato (have been numerous times). I have eaten a whole lot of gelato over the years and this place has as good as I have ever had. Good selections and well priced. Worth a drive. Closed Tuesdays.
Having a stroll through this town led us to buy a lovely wine in the bottega near this gelateria and experience a lovely ice cream. A lovely setting to eat Italy’s best produce
