We had an excellent work dinner here with great cocktails and a good assortment of food; especially the cured ham. It's a very lovely room and a place that just makes you feel good

Amazing spot in Malmö. The menu was exciting with sophisticated wine pairing options. Each dish I enjoyed was cleverly plated and exceeded expectations.
Ever had dinner at an SAS flight, tasted the food and felt that they are trying to emulate really good food? Well this restaurant could be what they have unsuccessfully tried to copy. First of the service is lovely. Perfect. Friendly, skilled and just right...in frequency. The set menu of five dishes is seasonal, playful and very Scandinavian. In the five courses, the small perfectly grilled reindeer filets are the only things you see close to a steak, and they have to deal with being bested by the fish croquettes in the previous dish that are superb. The first dish with hearing and pork is acidic and interesting and only comes to its right when combined with the recommended wine. The desert with blueberry icecream is fine but a bit plain to throw a wow. The prices are on the higher range, but you are paying for an experience here. Food that is moving into the range of couragious art and perfect service. Such things should be allowed to cost.More
We were delighted with the restaurant- the menu was well thought out and every course was delicious. It felt intimate and unhurried and the restaurant team were extremely welcoming. We look forward to visiting again on our return to Malmö
One of those restaurants where they take in-season veggies and try to turn them into tasty and in-expensive dishes - all in all, a positive and eco friendly approach. But don’t expect to be positively surprised as everything is very basic. And make sure that...when you order your table explicitly ask NOT to be placed by the counter/bar - you will be eating very uncomfortably as the bar is very high and the chairs not high enough! Additionally you will enjoy regular visits from other guests going to the toilet located less than one meter behind you!! Additionally the chef succeeded turning their onglet into a piece of meat that was un-chewable - my wife returned the dish and I tried to get through the “rubber” but eventually I had to give up as well.More
Thanks for your review. I'm sad that you didn't expressed to us that you were so dissatisfied with the visit. When we asked your wife about the meat she said it was a little rubbery but everything was fine and she didn't want anything else....More
I fully recommend this place. It was not our first visit and the experience matches what I remember from the last time - everything from food to service was perfect. Restaurant offers a short menu and you can either choose some dishes or go by...tasting menu - in the latter option you will get 3 small dishes plus a desert. You can also select only some dishes from the menu. Restaurant offers also some wine - you can stick to one wine or have a wine pairing option - you will be served 4 different wines to accompany the dishes. Service is very friendly and they speak well English so communication is smooth even if you don’t speak Swedish. Place is small and cosy but unfortunately does not offer any quiet corners. It will be not great if you need to discuss any confidential matters but it is perfect otherwise. Distances to the next table are big enough. Individual dishes are quite small so if it fits your budget I do recommend tasting menu. They offer good variety of dishes from fish to meat. The food also looks good on a plate - they pay special attention to food presentation.. Place is quite pricey but it’s compensated with a great food and excellent service.More
Superb dinner 👏🏻. Super fresh ingrediens’s cooked and spiced to perfection. Cosy small place with friendly staff. The best dining experience in a long time
Really small and cozy place! Food was delicious (especially the celeriac dish!), wines were great and service was excellent - definitely not the last time we’re visiting!
They offered a fixed menu that was very nicely composed and structured. The meat was superbed. The surprise of the evening was the dessert, ice cream with olive oil!
We had planned a Saturday night at Västergatan. But upon arrival we were seated at the bar counter that was so high that our plates would be almost same level as our face. Unbelievable that you can seat customers there to have dinner. The restaurant...claims that we booked the bar seating ourselves - but following up after we can see that the booking system does not always show you what seating you choose and the confirmation doesn’t show “bar seating” either. Staff was unable to solve the problem and not interested in getting any feedback. We left - with out having dinner.More
I went here again and was not disappointed. If possible, I was even more impressed and satisfied. Last time here was my first time and then I experienced the "wow-factor". After this second visit, it’s confirmed that this is one of the best restaurant I...have been to. The “wow-factor” was there again as the chefs delivered once again. The food and dishes are perfectly cooked and balanced where all the flavours harmonize with each other. The staff is very professional, customer focused, kind and polite and gives the feeling of being at dinner in a friend’s home. As last time, we asked the waitress about a bottle of wine that could go with the menu, and again she delivered as the recommended wine was very nice and went so well with the food. For this visit, they had a new menu. As starter it was salmon, Jerusalem artichoke, cucumber and elder flower. All the flavours synchronized well together and the amount of all the different flavours was just enough, very well balanced. As second, it was cod with tomato, basil and a hint of nduja (spreadable spicy salami). Again, the flavours was perfectly balanced with a hint of spiciness. As third course they served pig cheek with chanterelle, corn and dill flower. Over the years, I have visited several Michelin star restaurants (e.g. Noma, Jean-Geroges, Fischers Fritz, Sollo, Frantzén) and this was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten! It was perfect! For dessert, they served a yoghurt ice cream of strawberry, grapefruit, vanilla and rye. It didn’t look that “special” but it was so good, not at all what I expected. They have a very reasonable price for their menu and you get so much more for what you pay. Västergatan is without doubt my favourite restaurant in Malmö and I already look forward to my next visit!More
All the food was very tasteful and nicely presented. It felt like the menu was well thought through as the tastes were very well balanced. A lot of different flavours but no one overtook the other and the plates has just enough food on them...to fit my taste, not too much - not to little. We did not take their wine pairing package but asked the waitress for a suitable wine. The wine she recommended was very nice and suited well to all the courses. Throughout the whole evening, the service was very good as the staff were friendly, attentive and service minded. The restaurant was pretty small but felt spacious and was very cosy. I find their concept of a four course menu for 500SEK per person, very good and gave very good value for money. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definately go back!More
We had the 4-course menu, which comes with 2 small additional starters. The cod dish was superb! The others were ok but nothing special. We also had the wine package, which I would strongly recommend not to go for. 4 small glasses of wine, with...no refills. The sheery for the desert was good, but the others were not good. Cannot understand why those were in such a pricy package. If you choose beer, you will be served a can. Why??? In this kind of restaurant?? Service is personal and nice. Thanks! I think this restaurant would work fine as a local family restaurant. The ambition seems to be high class, and that is also reflected in the price. Based on this visit, it is not at all reaching that. Not worth the money.More
A lot of focus on set menus with several but small servings. We picked a few though, so it’s possible. Very interesting combinations and lovely environment. But nothing that really made its way to long lasting memory. Quite expensive. I had high expectations I must...admit and they were more or less met. Friendly service.More
This small restaurant is amazing good. And the selection of small house champagne is so good. Service is perfect. You can sit in the bar and have 100% look at the preparing place for the food, ore you are sitting in the open are. The...menu is good combination of flavors mixed to the food. For this restaurant and place is the food price so perfect. It’s can be littel hard to find it, but your will love it.More
