Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My niece and her family were visiting from the US and Pisacane is always a fun spot. Well lighted and fun. The pizzas were really good and they offer pizzas that are a little different, plus the classics. The pizzas are huge. They now have...outdoor seating, too.More

I must have had a pizza here hundreds of times over the past twenty odd years. Well, I guess all good things must come to an end. It's been two years since my last visit and things have changed, for the worst. First my usual...pizza, the Rustichella now comes with prosciutto cotto instead of speck which IMHO doesn't make it better. Secondly, the old Rustichella has lots of mushrooms melting into the cheese. That's all gone, not many mushrooms and not much cheese either. The pizza is still super thin and very big, if you like that kind of thing. More importantly, the atmosphere has gone from the restaurant, different staff, maybe on the weekend it's better. Another strange thing is they don't serve coffee any more, what's that all about? All in all the magic has gone. Sorry!More

I was here a few months ago on a girls' night. Since the place doesn't take reservations, we had to wait a little, but the owner/manager was so nice to offer us some whine while we were waiting outside for a table. No matter what...you order, it will for sure be absolutely delicious! I am a meat lover, but their vegetarian pizzas are just amazing!More

We arrived at around seven o'clock and got one of the last seats. During the time we had our pizza a small crowd outside was waiting for a table. The pizza is large and has a thin bottom. People ate the pizza by rolling it...up. It was one of the better pizzas we had during our trip and it is not your typical tourist restaurant.More

very friendly staff and especially the couple owning the place! Fantastic pizza in a super size and with absolut fresh and selected meat and vegetables. On a Sunday evening a lot of Genovese Families and couples eat at this place. I made some Italian friends...(local people). They told me that whoever was once eating at this place always wants to come back again.More

We lived in Genova for 4 years and this was by far our favourite pizzeria! The pizzas are thin and crispy and they put a lot of toppings on them. Be prepared to wait for a table if you don't go as soon as it...opens because there is often a queue.More

Absolutely enormous pizzas delivered with a smile. These are reportedly the best pizzas in Genoa and certainly didn’t disappoint. The waitress was really friendly and helped us with our choices. The queue outside is testament to just how popular this place is so arrive early!...The only thing to note is that while the pizzas are well priced and good value the cost of drinks may be an unwelcome surprise. Definitely recommended.More

A pizzeria as a pizzeria should be, with special pizzas. True italians coming to eat, we were the only non locals. Friendly staff, great beers on tap, and huge, delicious piazzas. The twist is in the toppings, a section of traditional ones and a section...of more original ones. Definitely a place to go have an Italian dinner.More

We arrived late (after 10pm) and we did not have to wait for ordering two pizzas. They came out and were crispy, big and tasty! We will be back!

Turned up on an early(ish) Tuesday evening in October hoping to get a table for two. The place was already pretty darn busy but seeing our disappointment, we were offered two spaces on a table with a dad and his young son, which we happily...accepted. Realising we were English, they kindly brought us a menu in English to help us. Service overall was helpful, quick and slick. Our pizzas turned out to be massive! The plates were like trays and the pizzas were even bigger but despite this they were so tasty we couldn't leave the smallest bit. Possibly the best pizza I've ever tasted! Couldn't recommend Pizzeria al Pisacane more highly - fabulous!More

This is a fast paced, casual pizza join in Foce area of Genoa (10 min walk from Brignole). Worth the visit. The pizzas are delicious and staff friendly.

What a great little spot! We walked from the main part of town (about 25 minutes) but it was worth the walk! Pizzas were so thin and delicious! My pizza the Bacicin should have had potato but they had run out it was so popular,...so they added zucchini and asparagus!More

Without a doubt, the best pizza in Genova. Thin crunchy dough and high quality selected ingredients. Usually one has to wait for 10-15 minutes to get a place, but it is totally worth it.
