Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Firstly I’ll start this review with the parking. We visited on Saturday 16 November at around 9pm. The car park attendant could not be better at his job. We were greeted with a big smile and a welcome, and he directed us to the entrance....Once inside the restaurant, the level of service did not dip. The waiter we had was on point, attentive and informative. The food (although a little pricey) is fantastic, I would recommend the shared platter of Machas for a starter. This is a lovely restaurant, and although it’s slightly pricey it is worth the money for the level of service and quality of food provided. The staff are clearly well trained, and from the moment we pulled into the car park until we left we all felt like valued customers. A+ on the service!More

Walked in here for lunch after a visit to a winery and what a nice surprise. Parmesan manchas to start and braised short ribs as main. All good and adequate portions at least for us. (most places we visited served way to much food, this...was just perfect size for us) Stop by, I am sure you will enjoy it!!!More

I was on a wine tour with a group Talacanta catered the food. Presentation was amazing and the food tasted even better! Dietary needs were met also. I can't say enough good things about them and Arnoldo!

We say the trip advisor flag so thought we'd give it a try. Menu prices were very high but again we trusted the flag. Service was slow and stale. The kale salad (listed as such) had no kale at all but just lettuce. We mentioned...this twice to no major concerns of the waiter or the host. In the end an overpriced average lunch in a nice setting.More

Lovely restaurant with hearty cuisine of locally sourced fresh produce in the country side. The seafood and meat dishes are excellent and the portions are big! The bread is freshly baked and divine and the deserts, tortas and pastels ( tarts and cakes) delectable. We...had the beef rib, like t-bone and tuna and a legendary torta de tres leches!More

I LOVE good food and this did not disappoint! I ate the most amazing duck I have ever had in my life. We came across this restaurant by chance after leaving Undurraga winery and were so happy that we did! Everyone's food was delicious and...beautifully presented. Service was wonderful too. I highly recommend stopping by after a tour of the winery.More

I live in the US but visit Chile often as my family now lives in Isla de Maipo. We explored several nearby restaurants and Talacanta was just top! The ingredients are wholesome and the combination of cuisines results in the most delightful experience. The atmosphere...is also something to remark; the restaurant offers a beautiful deck for outdoor sitting as well as a modern and beautifully decorated restaurant. The wines are superb as the restaurant takes advantage of the many amazing vineyards nearby. The seafood dishes were outstanding but so were the salads and desserts. A must do if you are in the Talagante/Isla de Maipo area.More

Dishes were good, not brilliant. Waiters are nervous and interrupt too frequently. Lightning of the main area is so cold that it resembles an indoor parking facility. Wine menu doesn't inform the year. Red wine was served too warm.

I went to visit a second time and unfortunately I had the same bad experience. Los platos no muy bien preparados y los vinos tibios. I do not recommend it.

Very little English is spoken here. And no English menu. We fought our way through the menu. We split the salad with the salmon. The salmon wa s a little fishy. We also split the lamb shank which was very good served with A good...Chorizo sausage and a very poor blood sausage. This was served on top of a nicely spiced mashed potatoes base. We never were able to get a glass of wine ordered. Oh well, must brush up with n my Spanish.More

El Talacanta ( named after the Mapuche word for Talagante) can be found a short drive from Vineyard Undurraga on Camino Antiguo de Mellipilla, opposite Szot Micro brewery. The restaurant is ran by a Cuban lady and a Chilean guy. They offer an exciting alternative...to Chilean cuisine. Dishes are original creations and having eaten there twice now, I can say i would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a good lunch place after the Unduragga wine tour.. Wine list prices are reasonable although the main dishes are a little pricy they are worth it. There is a children menu available but it's not a place for the very young.More
