The Hotel Costazzurra Museum & Spa is an oasis of Mediterranean hospitality. It’s located near the archaeological park of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento and is close to the Mediterranean Sea, in one of the most beautiful stretches of the coast. The perfect place to plan a vacation together with the persons you love. The hotel is the first authentic archaeological-hotel in the world and offers its guests the unique opportunity to enjoy in exclusive the archaeological collection "The Gaipa". Food, wine, culture ... we do interpreters of the many Sicily’s pleasures to transform the "Holiday" in "Experience”. A rich a la carte menu based on only fresh Mediterranean fish and seasonal ingredients "zero kilometer", a wine selection including the best labels of Sicilian wines and the passion for the tastes of Sicily. These are the secrets of the restaurant "Il Grecale", pride of our hotel known among the best restaurants on the Island. Together with fish, the Pizza. Made with doughs obtained from traditional flours, is elevated to the rank of traditional dish of excellence. The Spa "Grotta delle Muse" is an enchanting place, harmonious and seductive where taking care of body and soul to enjoy some moments of genuine wellness. Our Spa welcomes guests with its swimming pool with whirlpool, geysers and water jets, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, emotional shower and its massages and beauty treatments. All it accompanied by hot tea energizing and rebalancing. The “Verde Mare” is our lounge-swimming pool. The swimming pool with areas for relaxation awaiting you to spend the more pleasants hours of your stay. Perfect for couples, singles or families. In fact, the large solarium there is a wellness area accessible only for adults guests and a play area for children. At dusk, Indulge yourself the pleasure of a refined drink in the bar ... and then in the evening everything becomes glam and the pool is transformed into a spectacular fountain brightening of colors and water games. The Collection "La Gaipa" It’s a collection of archaeological reperts mostly original from the Magna Grecia and dated between the fifth and fourth century BC. These pieces are complemented by others Egyptians, Romans and Byzantines. The collection offers you an overview of the cultures that have alternated in Akragas which was among the most important crossroads of the Mediterranean. The pieces come exclusively from acquisitions made abroad with the intention to actively promote the return to Italy of its archaeological heritage. For the first time they are exposed to the public on a permanent exposition, thus providing a unique opportunity to enrich the stay of travelers with a unique museum experience in situ. Is also possible to stay in a Museum Room where guests can enjoy the private exhibition of some pieces of the collection. Thus the Hotel Costazzurra Museum & Spa presents itself as a favorite destination for those who want an exclusive experience of culture, making it an attraction in itself. The hotel's staff includes also young archaeologists who daily open the display cases to allow guests to enjoy the experience of touching some of the reperts. We offer you the emotion of holding a piece of History into your hands.

We stayed at the costazzurra for 8 nights in February. We used this as a base to see Agrigento , the Turkish steps and south west Sicily. The hotel was welcoming and warm. Salvatore treated us like family. Shout out to Ricardo. English posed no problem. The maids went out of their way for a special surprise on Valentine’s Day. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Laundry service was available and reasonable. The breakfast was ample. We ate at the restaurant and found the food tasty and the service pleasant. We ate at several recommended restaurants and enjoyed them all. The hotel sits several blocks from the promenade on the Mediterranean, which was very walkable. We heartily recommend this lovely hotel when visiting south west Sicily.

Hotel's Favourite
Outstanding Hotel and Spa. Stayed for 2 nights with a spa and meal package. Reception was courteous, friendly and informative. The room was modern extremely clean and well maintained. Great transportation provided if you want to visit the beach or Valley of the Temples. The restaurant provided a well balanced selection of pasta, seafood and meat dishes. The breakfast buffet has multiple assortments of grains, pastry, juices, meat, eggs, fruit etc. The staff, presentation and food was first class. The Spa was one of the best I have visited throughout Europe and America. What makes it so special is you are provided a private spa area that is incredible modern with an extra large spa/jacuzzi, Turkish Steam room, Swedish sauna, a multi jet shower and relaxing areas to relax and have a chilled water or hot tea. The massage therapist are highly trained and professional. I liked it so much I booked two spa days while I was there. I am already planning my return.

The staff at the hotel is terrific! They were always ready to accommodate our needs. Don't miss a guided tour of the Valley of the Temple. The sand beaches around Agrigento are beautiful! We booked through Susan Peavy Travel.

We stayed at Hotel Costazzurra Museum & Spa between 23rd July and 30th July and we can say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As a family of 9, this was an excellent base for our stay in Agrigento. We were in town to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary and found the location great for such a big event. Located near the valley of temples, beach and restaurants, we highly recommend the hotel for anyone wanting to explore the gorgeous San Leone area and surrounding Agrigento province. It is also a great base for those wanting to explore the gorgeous south-west side of the island of Sicily. Run by 2 brothers, the establishment is extremely family friendly. The staff were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and spoke excellent English. All rooms were clean, modern and well maintained. The hotel has a lovely spa equipped with jacuzzi and treatments – ideal for those who are looking for a relaxation day. The service provided was impeccable – as mentioned by previous reviewers, the hotel will organize shuttle services (to and from) to various areas of the surrounding area (Valley of the Temples, Scala dei Turchi, Agrigento city center, beaches etc for a sum). Staff were always available for any help, questions or support. The swimming pool area, which is separate was excellent for those who fancied a lazy pool day. It is rather spacious and has a little bar where you can order drinks and food. We opted for Bed & Breakfast however ate several times at the in-house restaurant operated by the hotel. The restaurant food was of a great quality and the staff were attentive and friendly. A big shout out to Mario & team for being so wonderful. For those who fancy eating out, the hotel is a stone throw away from some amazing restaurants, bars and ice cream parlours! Additionally, we would like to say a BIG thank you to the hotel for the excellent service they provided for our parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration (catering, flowers etc). We had approx. 30 guests at the event and the hotel went out of there way to make it a well organized and memorable event – my parents were absolutely delighted with everything. In all, we highly recommend the Hotel Costazzurra Museum & Spa and will most definitely be returning again in the near future!

The kindest and friendliest staff at this hotel, which is located in the San Leone beach area of Agrigento. They have car parking, plus pool and recreation area with a bar and these are located directly over the road. Our modern spacious rooms all had balconies to sit out on. We dined there every night as food excellent and chef came out to meet us each night and explained his nightly new items on menu. Hotel offers free shuttle to the temples which was perfect for us. They also offer a beauty spa, which we didn't have time to utilise sadly. It was a short walk down to waterfront where there are shops and restaurants, and it was from there we caught a bus into the town centre. Great spot to stay.

My wife and I loved Hotel Costazzurra because it was like spending three nights in paradise. The staff provided first rate services in all respects. Fabio and Ricardo were exceptional in every possible way. They carried our suitcases to our room, arranged for hotel shuttle transfers to the Valley of Temples and to downtown Agrigento, provided us with helpful information regarding the locations of the supermarket, pharmacy, and restaurants. and answered our many questions about Sicily. The room was very comfortable with excellent air conditioning which is a great relief in the Sicilian summer. Dinner at the restaurant was a remarkable outside dining experience featuring delicious Sicilian food and a DJ that played both Italian and English language music including many Frank Sinatra songs. The hotel also offers a complementary breakfast 0700 until 1030 each morning featuring an excellent selection of hot and cold food choices. The swimming pool was wonderful with crystal clear water, plenty of chase lounges, pleasant music that was similar to the restaurant, a waiter to serve food and drink and Italian landscaping that was simply breath taking. The hotel also offers free parking which is a big plus in Sicily. I highly recommend Hotel Costazzurra and we will definitely stay here again should we ever have the good fortune of visiting Sicily again.

Our family had an excellent stay at Hotel Costazzurra in San Leone. We pre-arranged for a driver from the hotel, Salvatore, to collect us from Agrigento Centrale train station. Salvatore is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel is very clean with a laid back beach town vibe. My husband and I stayed in the newer building, and our 4 teenagers stayed in the tower. All rooms are well appointed and comfortable, with excellent showers. The hotel pool area is just awesome. The pool attendant and bartender, Marco, gave us exceptional service, always with a friendly smile. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant, and we really enjoyed the delicious pizza, the lovely outdoor seating, and once again, the excellent service. The breakfast was great, too, with your typical assortment of meat, cheese, eggs, yogurts, fruits, and pastries. We were grateful for the free shuttle services to The Valley of the Temples, and to the hotel’s private section of Havana Beach. For $10 per person, we rented chaise lounges and umbrellas at this beautiful beach, which also has a full snack bar and cocktail bar. A relaxing day well spent! I must mention that Ricardo and Mario (and Mario’s sweet dog Fulvo), also added to our wonderful experience at this welcoming hotel. Don’t miss the rooftop garden with hot tub! Lastly, the hotel manager gifted us with a box of 6 bottles of wine upon our departure, as a thank you for staying with them. Wow, what a great hotel. We will return again to this gem of a place!
