Booked the Lebbiano quite last minute and we loved it. So quiet and peaceful....it's a natural gem. We met Marco and he was very friendly and helpful with any questions. Our room was no 10 facing the green and it was perfect to sit outside and look into the woodland and pool. I used the hot tub and that was lovely. The hotel was a great distance driving, maybe 5 minutes, to the nearest town of Scandicci. There were lovely restaurants and shops here. Plus we drove to the team station here, which had free parking and got the tran into Florence which took about 20 mins and was so cheap. We would definitely stay here again if we can back to Florence.

We had a great experience at this secluded location. We "home based" out of here and travelled around Chianti by car and into Florence from the nearby train station. The resort itself is beautiful and has a lot to offer guests on its own and the proprietors were very helpful in recommending nearby activities/attractions too. The rooms are fully equipped with small kitchenettes very clean and cozy. Would recommend to anyone!

I had an AMAZING time at Lebbiano's Resort. It far exceeded my expectations. Lebbiano was very responsive. He contacted me in advance to see if I need to arrange transportation to his resort. Marco, his brother, picked us up. Now, I just feel that I need to add that I am an African American traveller and have never been to Europe, but I've heard many stories about racism in Italy. So I was a little nervous about going and not being accepted. These guys made me feel dumb for even thinking this way. Their hospitality was impeccable. Marco greeted us so warmly and even stopped en route to allow us to take pictures of the BEAUTIFUL scenery. Our rooms were so cute and looked traditional to the Italian way. The room was equipped with a fridge, stove and sink. The resort is eco friendly. They took the proper measures and equipped the rooms with so much energy saving techniques. Ex. the electricity would only stay on if you placed your key card in the slot, indicating that you are present and are using the energy vs. not present and wasting it. The pictures that you see on their site is great but does 0 justice to the actual beauty of going to see yourself. That pool that you see in the pictures, looks just like that, but multiply it by 10 for the actual beauty of it. We were blessed with some nice weather and took advantage of the pool during the day and the hot tub at night. There is also a trail behind the resort to go on a hike. You literally can stay on campus and use that day as an excursion. But! you won't find food there. Only a continental breakfast, which had some tasty, fresh baked pastries and coffee to choose from for a small fee. If you don't have a car, make sure you make food accommodations for the day if you step out. The resort is secluded and you wont find anything to eat within walking distance. Lebbiano suggested and made reservations for us at an Italian restaurant nearby. The food was AMAZING. The best steak I have ever had. This restaurant sealed the deal on our Italian experience. We also found the pricing to be quite reasonable. We went back for a second time as well. Lebbiano also set up a private wine tour for us. It was a fraction of the prices that Ive seen online for a winery experience. Gianna was our guide and she was so knowledgable and she helped set us up for the rest of our journey by schooling us on tasting and pairing. A special moment that I want to highlight is that on our first day, we were so excited to check out the grounds that we weren't paying attention to the time. In Italy, a lot of restaurants either opens late for dinner or they close for a few hours during the day and resume operation later in the day. When we realized what time it was, we knew we were screwed. We went to Lebbiano and asked him if he knew of any place that may be open. He said everything was closed. Then a lightbulb seemed to go off in his head. He told us he has a place. He drove us down to the tram station and directed us to take the tram to the next stop and get off. We weren't entirely sure what was going on because of our language barrier but we just knew food would be involved. We followed directions and when we got off the tram, we were standing in the middle of an Italian festival! I think it was their Octoberfest! There were so many stands that were selling authentic Italian foods and other goods. There was live entertainment, music, food and wine. We had the best time ever. This was probably one of the best days we had in Italy. I'm glad Lebbiano was such a quick thinker! This is one of my favorite highlights of the trip. Lebbiano and Marco was amazing. I can probably think of 100 other things they did that would make me come back! I would recommend anyone whose looking for a beautiful eco friendly, hospitable, country side Italian experience, Lebbiano's Bio Resort is the way to go. You will NOT be disappointed. I know that I'll be back! Thank you again guys <3

We chose Lebbiano residences as it was our intention to travel daily into Florence by tram rather than negotiate city traffic. We made a good choice in that respect. Upon arrival to this ‘out of town’ establishment we were warmly greeted and shown to our accommodation which comprised a large room with beamed timber ceiling, kitchen facilities, comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. In addition an en suite with ‘power shower’ and sep wc. The grounds are lovely and feature a wooded rural setting with the benefit of a rustic lagoon style pool, sun loungers dotted around on the grass and a large modern whirlpool spa. The spa and it’s location (outside the room next door) was an issue as, on the day of our arrival, we’d been travelling for hours and needed some rest. Unfortunately some youngsters were in there making a racket so no rest. Noise or lack of insulation was also an issue with our neighbours. We could hear them talking, stomping around and coughing clearly through the adjoining wall. The couple, with a small child, shattered the silence at 6am. This is an ‘eco’ resort so no air conditioning which could be a problem in the heat of the summer. We were very warm on the last night even with the windows open. All in all a pleasant stay in a resort which is probably best suited to families.

Good morning and thanks for your review. In our resort air conditioning stops when the windows or the door of the apartments are open in order to reduce waste that is harmful to the environment. During the day the external spa (included in the price) are used from the guests and it is normal there is some noise only near the spa. Yours sincerely.

We stayed here for three nights in mid-September. This was our second visit, the first seven years ago. It continues to be perfect in every sense. It's an ecologically sustained property and the owners are careful to keep it that way. The studio apartments which are private and divided from one another, are large and well appointed including a full kitchenette, both in appliances and cooking utensils. The grounds are well kept and its a pleasure to sit on the patio and enjoy a glass of coffee or wine and enjoy the peace and quiet. It's a short drive from the tram station in Scandicci and you can easily get to Florence this way. However, you should leave relatively early in the morning to secure parking in the free lot by the station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a perfect location to wander the Tuscany region, visit wineries or olive oil shops. If we have the chance, we won't think twice about coming again.

We booked for a just over a week here for our family holiday and it was nothing short of excellent. Ideal base for exploring Florence where after a the busy city you escape back to the forest paradise where it was always notably cooler. The family who run Lebbiano were fantastic and really have created something special. Lovely room with cooking facilities, a decent pool area with more than enough sun loungers for everyone. A hot tub which was great after a day in Florence. Nice restaurants nearby and we used the shuttle to get to the tram station to take us into Florence, a quick phone call on the way back and Marco would be waiting for us at the Villa Costanza tram stop. No doubt we will be returning here for a relaxing break and thank you to Marco, Camille and the team for making our stay perfect. The Moylan family will be very happy to return.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful scenery. Comfortable huts. Unusually impressive showers. Ping pong table and Koi fish pond. Well worth staying. You might even want to leave a whole day just to relax here. The only downside is that you pretty much need a car to stay here. It is remote enough so that even things like getting a dinner might be a problem if you don't plan ahead.

We have been to this Bio Resort twice now when visiting Florence. With self catering apartments including stove, fridge, freezer and dish washer it allows some 'home cooking' after a long day sightseeing. Also free WiFi and amazing Hydromassage showers, Only 6 kms from central Florence, the wonderful hosts will drop you off to a nearby station with a fabulous little train that takes you into town. A quick call from the train on your trip home and they will pick you up. Can't miss the station; it's the end of the loop. There are a few 'hidden jewel restaurants' in the Tuscan hills nearby that supply all their own fresh wines and produce. Also swimming, bush walking and exploring the grounds are wonderful if you have time. The pool is gorgeous, as is the coffee shop on the little lake. The rooms are fabulous and I cannot wait to go back again. A huge thank-you to the hosts, especially Camilla, for their wonderful service and hospitality.
