A special hotel stay in a castle. Stunning, luxurious room with care taken to provide extra amenities. Beautiful grounds and amazing breakfast. Enjoyed wine tasting and the glorious views of the vineyard and surroundings.

We had the most wonderful stay at Castello Vicchiomaggio. The setting is unbelievably gorgeous. The views from all over the hotel and especially the infinity pool are breathtaking. We really enjoyed our family suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms set out over three levels - lots of space for the four of us. The breakfast was a real treat after staying in self-catering before our visit. We also really enjoyed dinner at the castle with fabulous food, views and especially the piano music. The piano player was excellent! Thanks so much for a very special visit! We hope to be back one day!

We've never stayed in a castle before but this was amazing! We felt very safe with all the gates and locks. The view was incredible, and the grounds were beautiful. We loved the wine tasting dinner. Be sure to partake in this! The tour in the vineyard was fun but the Rose' in the courtyard was a fabulous start! The wine and food were delicious. What made the night so memorable was the amazing piano player! He set the mood and the night was a blast! The breakfasts were so inviting and yummy and the staff was attentive. We will definitely stay here again, when we're in the area and will recommend this place to friends for a delightful stay in the Tuscany region.

Our stay here was what we imagined. In the quiet countryside with a gorgeous view of the vineyards and surrounding hills and valleys. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by John Matta, winemaker, checked in with Delfina Matta, the entire staff was outstanding and accommodating. The food and wine here was outstanding, and Franco was a very courteous, friendly, and efficient waiter in the dining room. The winery tour with wine tasting and lunch in the garden was outstanding, and Nadia, our tour guide was awesome. The lunch in the garden and the wine tasting was really well done, and the wait staff was very gracious and informative about the food and wines we were consuming. A bottle of wine from this winery which we had in Boston, Ripa Delle More, gave us this idea for traveling here and celebrating our 50th anniversary. Thanks again to John for making Ripa and many other great wines, and to the entire staff for making our anniversary celebration unforgettable.…

We can't say enough about this place. From the front office staff (Deborah) who welcomed us with a great tour. To the breakfast gentleman (Oct 16th) who kept the guests happy. Close to Greve, close to Castello Gabbiano, close to American Cemetary. It truly made for a magical two day stay. The pictures tell a story.

The location was beautiful and couldn't have picked a better place for dinner. However, we didn't receive the garden room view, there was no shower just a tub in our bathroom and the first morning there was no water for several hours. You would think they would have provided us with a complimentary bottle of wine or a wine tour for the inconvenience, but I really don't think anyone cared. Breakfast was basic and filling but nothing special. The pool was a nice place to escape the heat.

Perfect what more can you say. Just come home from attending my sons wedding here and we were beginning to think what with Covid, flight cancellations etc was it really worth the hassle of having a wedding there!!! Oh my as soon as we all arrived did we immediately realise why they wanted it there!! An absolutely stunning location for any wedding! The rooms are awesome, staff wonderful in fact everything was perfect about the whole place from start to finish for our 3 day wedding celebration apart from the stifling heat (not their fault ha!) would recommend this place to anyone and we all had the most perfect and most memorable time! Thank you Castello Vicchiomaggio you were/are magnifico

What a beautiful place! This might be the most beautiful winery I have ever visited. Located at the top of a hill, the view is amazing. We had lunch in their garden and it was delicious. We did the wine tour afterwards which was fun and informative. Our guide Ines was fun and knowledgeable! We will definitely return next time we are in Tuscany!

Property is stunningly beautiful and it is obvious why it is such a popular wedding/event venue. The quaint castle courtyard and the pool vistas are especially beautiful. The room was spacious and fairly well appointed. Staff was very attentive and friendly. What stole the show was the Monday evening wine and dinner pairing. The wine tour was informative and entertaining with the energetic and witty Inez (sp?,sorry). Dinner was good quality and generous portions with some very delicious elements. Wine is also very nice and generous portions offered for each type. The hit of the night though, was Marco. Waiter, generous wine pourer, as well as pianist and singer was amazing! He does it all! I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed the night. Don’t pass on this event if you are anywhere near hear and highly recommend the property for a stay.…
