This resort and its offering is very impressive hence my enthusiasm for this very positive review, it’s a fantastic place to stay in every possible way. My wife and I booked at short notice during a winter tour of Australia and Asia, after continually travelling around at 3 day intervals, we wanted to settle and recuperate for a week of pure rest on the way back to Europe. Our arrival and welcome was perfect, with an efficient pick up and 30 minute drive from Denpassar airport, we arrived to the gentle Balinese rindik chimes from the delightful local musician who plays daily in the lobby. After a buggy tour of the resort, we were checked into our upgraded villa suite with private pool, garden and gazebo whilst our room butler unpacked our baggage. Throughout our stay: FOOD: top quality throughout, whether enjoying fine dining from their Michelin calibre kitchen in Kayuputi, or the fantastic breakfast buffet, beach grill, or room service - it’s all outstanding quality, lobster omlette for breakfast was a first for us - delicious start to the day! SERVICE: super attentive, warm friendly and professional, present when needed, discreet when necessary, exceedingly well trained in all hospitality skills. Concierge very efficient and knowledgeable. Requests are always met with a positive response and nothing is too much trouble. WINE: Although wine is expensive in Indonesia due the import taxes, the resort has a Grand Award winning wine list, plenty to choose if you’re willing to pay, but also a good selection for those of us that seek value in the $150 per bottle range. SPA: Balinese massage treatments here are the best we ever experienced, and sufficiently affordable to enjoy every day! Therapists are well trained, professional, and attentive to guest needs. This was a busy time of year, yet spa appointments were widely available. ACCOMMODATION: luxury with deep pile carpet on Balinese marble and wooden flooring, super-comfortable beds and linen, daily complimentary pressing service, everything works including internet and tv streaming. RESORT SITUATION: The white sand beach is clean and safe for swimming, a combination of freshwater and saltwater swimmable lagoons also feature within the resort. There are several “swim-up” villas, multiple areas to relax, read, drink or dine. The St Regis Bar provides live entertainment in the evenings following a daily “sabre opening champagne ceremony” and complimentary aperitif- great jazz singer and pianist! During our time on the island of Bali we did visit a number of the other luxury resorts for drinks, lunch or dinner, all have something to offer, but for us the St Regis is the place we would stay should be return to Bali. Bravo!…
