Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

A really nice hotel within a central location. The room was very comfortable, clean and welcoming. The bathroom was spacious and good quality products were provided. The breakfast was very good. Take care if arriving at night as there are no signs or lights for the car park.

We were driving arund in Zilina for looking the hotels until we found Villa Necas. Hotel looks unice and beautiful. Receptionist was really friendly and helpful. We got the upper floor 3 person room. In the summer it’s really hot there, but the air conditioner was working really nicely and did the job. From the room its nice view to the stunning mountains. Hotel restaurant was nice. We were sitting outside. Waiter ( unluckily I fond know his name) was suggesting really good Slovakkian wine and was really friendly person.... Super!!! Thanks Villa Neces, you made our stay so smooth 😊.

The hotel is very nice, room is tidy, the bathroom is also very elegant. There is a huge closet in the room, I even had a small balkony. The whole hotel is very elegant, the foods were nice, staff was really helpful. Also the wellness is perfect. The wifi connection is zero, it was impossible to work in the room. The breakfast had no big assortments.

Beautiful views of the nearby mountains. Slightly out of town. Breakfast was fine and the staff were nice. Rooms were a good size. Unfortunately my bedroom bin was not emptied for 4 days. Towels were replenished every 2 - 3 days. Toilet rolls were not regularly replenished. The third floor stairs are fine for people without feet / leg issues. Unfortunately opening the bedroom window, brought an unpleasant smell in from outside.

Good hotel. Rooms 3rd floor are a little cramped but have most modern conveniences Excellent food... In the restaurant for both dinner/ breakfast if a little expensive for Slovakia.. Location is very quiet but close to row.. Parking is off street and plenty of it.. The views from the terrace at the rear , are awesome with late after noon sun and the mountains and woods and river in front of you.. The not so good.. There is no lift and third floor stairs are steep but if not a genuine period feature.. No porter for carrying 20k+ case hhmm. There is no coffee tea facilities in the room.. Most of the staff speak some English but in general are very helpful

Villa Necas is a terrific find. The rooms are quiet, nicely equipped with heating and AC, and feature large windows that can be opened. Water pressure and temperature in the shower are excellent (although the shower is about the size of a standard phone booth). Internet is slow but reliable. The front desk and restaurant staff that I dealt with were all conversational in English, which is good, as I speak no Slovak. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from a Tesco and perhaps a 15-minute walk from several restaurants. The hotel's restaurant is superb; rabbit, duck, beef, and chicken were all on the menu at various times. Breakfast is buffet-style and not bad, but since it's included in the room rate I'll give it a pass. Parking is adequate. Bonus: the hotel is near the Zilina dam, where there are running and cycling trails along the the Vah river and the dam reservoir. Overall this hotel was an excellent value for my business trip and I'd absolutely stay there again.

Buses 24,26 and 31 from the bus station, right next door to the train station, take fifteen minutes if that to drop you outside Villa Necas and it costs 1 euro! (also very frequent...) It was nice to be a bit out of town and walk around the reservoir and along the river which lies at the back of the hotel. The hotel is a lovely place set rather incongruously next to a car showroom in an industrial area! It has an amazing cellar and nice big dining room. Contrary to Que C's experience in July (whose remarks helped entice us here as we too hate ambient muzak) there was loud noise playing in the hotel foyer when we arrived, and during breakfast (which was excellent) too - totally unnecessary and not in context with the style and ambience of the hotel itself. Our room was stunning and had a bath next to a log fire, which would be great to use when it is winter! The shower and loo were separate and to a very high standard. Massive telly on the wall. Really comfy (and huge) bed and lots of places to hang clothes etc. Excellent wifi. Highly recommended (except for the tasteless noise!)

Due to the wedding happeningin the Hotel Villa Necas, wedding guests decided to run a lot of fireworks which still hot landed on my car parked on their parking place. Stuff instructed them that this is forbidden to run fireworks near the hotel area. So far I'm very not happy because of that.

Staff was relaxed and nice. Room was very clean and quiet. With AC 👍🏻 the "SPA" was quiet and very useful to relax for one hour after driving and visiting around. Recommended. No elevator and no good for wheelchair users. Breakfast could have been better and with more variety.
