The Hotel has an absolutely perfect location on the square. The rooms are a mixture of modern and classic. We stayed in one of the top floor suites with a small balcony overlooking the square. Clean and boutique'esque, a huge recommendation and a great base to explore.

Amazing location, spacious and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, right at a heart of Krakow. We loved the traditional decor, high ceilings and marbell bathrooms. The reception staff was very accommodating and we were able to check in, despite arriving 2h early before the official check out. You can experience Cracow from your own bedroom.

My wife and I visited just prior to Christmas in order to enjoy the Christmas market and other historic sites in the area. Upon check in, we were met by Jacob who did a wonderful job of explaining the area and even went out of his way by making reservations for us at a local restaurant. We were able to request a room on floor 4 with a view of the square which was amazing. Overall it was a wonderful stay at Hotel Wentzl and would highly recommend this hotel.

First the good: 1. Location - can’t be better placed right on the main square! Easy access to all attractions 2. The bed - so comfortable, although a little low and may be difficult for someone with mobility issues 3. The staff - accommodating and friendly. Before we went we booked tours and taxis through the reception, who always answered requests promptly Now the not so good. 1. The room - while the bed is comfy so much about the room is bizarre. The robes are tiny! My wife who is size 6 found them a little snug. For me it barely went round me! The glasses are strange one white wine glass, one red and two different sized champagne flutes. Why not have two glasses the same size? 2. Room storage - The wardrobe situation is strange weird. Only one ver small wardrobe and no drawers 3. The bathroom - the standard room has no bath. This is of course becoming the norm for hotels, but why? The shower is massive and water pressure great so could easily accommodate a bath. One thing is the trumpet from the church. You may want to bring earplugs as it’s loud and goes on all through the night. This of course isn’t the hotels fault! But they could supply earplugs

This hotel is literally right on the Krakow square, and we were lucky enough to have a room with a small balcony where we can look out on the square. It is fun to look out on your balcony to see performers and do some people watching and listen to the bells and the trumpet of Saint Mary's Basilica. Be forewarned though, the trumpet and bells do play on the hour 24 hours a da), but you get used to it pretty quickly. The breakfast is hearty and the service is nice, a good way to start your day. The room itself is adequate, and has most things that you need, but the furniture has an awkward setup, minimizing how much space there is to move about in the room. Because the ceilings are slanted, the room feels smaller and darker than it is. Mirrors would help here, and they only had one mirror in the room, and that is in the bathroom. This can be a pain when 2 people are getting ready at the same time. The area on the top floor has a very dark lobby, so dark in fact that it makes it hard to find the button to the elevator. There were some odd things that happened during our stay that were worth mentioning. When we were coming home from dinner, the front desk reception inquired if we were okay as the cleaning staff reported that they found quite a bit of blood in our room. What???! That freaked us out, and we went up to our room, no blood anywhere, so I will assume that was another room? But a weird question to be asked. Also, when we came in from being out in the evening, there were several times that no one was at the front desk. As female travelers, it is more reassuring to need a key swipe to get into the hotel or have someone at the front desk. Lastly, upon checkout they said I had to pay for breakfast and I explained that I had paid for it when booking the room, and they said it wasn’t, and they could not charge my credit card, and they could only accept cash and were not able to provide a receipt as the printer was out of paper. Our Uber was there already, so I paid the cash and left, and then contacted the hotel with a picture of the confirmation of payment. Once they realized it had indeed been paid, they offered a refund and I told them to credit my credit card. They said it could not be done that way, and the only way to get a refund was to either get my banking information which I was not willing to give, or they would mail the refund in Polish currency. After waiting a few weeks for the Polish currency through the mail, I reached out and they said they credited my credit card, but did not send me any communication that they had done so. In the end, I did like the hotel, but came across some unexpected experiences. I would still recommend a stay here, but be on your toes for additional charges.

Exceeded expectations. Great location directly on Rynek Główny, the historic market Square. Friendly staff, happy to help store my luggage early on a Sunday morning as I arrived from an overnight train. Had large room with its own patio. Delicious breakfast with broad assortment. Bed was something like memory foam, vs a very firm bed.

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. Eric and Gregory were superb. I enjoyed conversing and all their information was accurate and helpful. They will do whatever you need to make your stay perfect. The Hotel was clean, comfortable and had a fabulous view from the 4th floor overlooking the central square and right across the street from the cloth market . I hope to visit again and will book with them again.

The room was fabulous with a super view of the square as we were on the top floor with a small balcony. It was lovely to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and watch the square open up. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The only comment my partner made was that there was no large mirror in the room

Actually went Feb2020 just prior to covid. A great 5day break for just me and my wife. Hotel Wentzl is in a really great location with our room over looking the main square and the cloth house. We also visited the salt mine, which was fantastic, though the return to the surface is not one for the clostrophobic ! Krakow is a great city!

The location is superb, you couldn't get more central if you tried. We stayed in room 45 with a small balcony with the best view of the main square. The balcony is really small but it has the best views. Only a few downsides about our stay. Firstly, the organisation of the taxi's/trips wasn't the best. We asked for the taxi to pick us up at 9:30am instead of 10am the night before we were due to leave but the receptionist never told the taxi company so it was kept at 10am (this was resolved on the morning and we got collected at 9:45am). We also booked the Auschwitz Tour and was told we would be collected at around 9am from the hotel reception. The night before we got a call from reception telling us that we would need to walk to the meeting point instead (due to the marathon closing some roads, fair enough), but we needed to be there for 11am? This delayed our day and we had to cancel plans we had in the afternoon to compensate for the delay. I wouldn't let the above put me off staying again, I would definitely stay again and recommend others to do the same.
