Residence Manassei offers 11 tastefully and completely furnished mini apartments, which can accommodate small groups or single clients. Each room is equipped with fully furnished and thoroughly equipped kitchen corner; double bedroom with colour TV, free wi-fi, telephone; a/c and heating, bathroom with shower and hairdryer. The rooms are located on three floors, all reachable by lift. On the upper floor a beautiful roof garden wait our guests which can have a drink or relax enjoying an enchanting view of Prato with its old characteristic roofs. Residence Manassei is mostly the really good alternative to Florence, as you can lodge at cheaper prices but visit it in a twenty minutes trip by train. Moreover it is reachable by car, as we offer our clients a car permit which allow them to get in the pedestrian area and park right in the adjacent streets, without any fee. It is also easily reachable by train, as the train station (Prato Porta al Serraglio) is located at 5 minutes walking.

Residences Mannasei provides spacious rooms with basic cooking and bathroom facilities in the center of Prato. The location is fantastic, and - recognizing that this is a set of small apartments and **not a hotel** - the customer service from the reception (not always manned) was excellent. The room itself was large but basic - king size bed, minimal kitchenette (sufficient to use for 1-2 people for a short time) that also houses the wardrobe. Bathroom functional although our shower head didnt provide great spray. The room could be improved with a proper sofa (versus a wicker double seat that really wasnt comfrotable enough for any length of time - so its either sit at the table, or lay on the bed) especially for guests staying more than a night. The apartments apparently have a roof garden that me didn't visit and access to a washing machine. Residences Mannasei also have a few parking spaces in a private garage located nearby. If you need one, its probably worth calling ahead.

I spent a pleasant two months at the Résidence Manassei in the spring of this year during an internship in Prato. Chiara and Giulio were always friendly and helpful and my studio room, which gave onto an inner courtyard, was comfortable and calm. The central location in the city's pedestrian district means that most of the city's sites and amenities are within easy walking distance. I would recommend it to visitors for short or extended stays.

Fabulous location in the centre of the old walled city of Prato. Manassei is romantic, historic, atmospheric. Wonderful friendly staff and lovely well appointed apartments in a beautiful historic building. I've stayed twice in the last two years and love it. A short train trip to Florence makes everything perfect.

I spent 4 nights on my own here, and I can only confirm what previous travellers already stated: excellent self-catering solution, wi-fi working good, trains station and buses around the corner offering hassle-free connections to Florence, Lucca, Pistoia etc. Good value for your money and Giulio is very helpful !! Prato itself is worth a visit !

The apartment we stayed in had a spacious bedroom. The kitchen/living area was not huge but had everything you needed. There are a number of food shops nearby if you wish to self cater. Eating out is relatively inexpensive and there are plenty of places nearby. There is some noise from the street as via di Manassei is a main thoroughfare, although mainly foot traffic. There is a bar below that can be noisy into the wee hours on Friday nights. The other nights we were there the noise level was okay. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

I was hosted in an apartment at the Residence Manassei while attending a conference in December 2015. It is very central (a few metres from the Piazza del Duomo) comfortable and well-equipped and with its high ceiling rooms would be wonderfully cool in high summer. But this was the winter and the heating only came on for a couple of hours first thing in the morning and in the early evening so I felt the chill. The residence has a receptionist for a few hours only each day (and no one at weekends) which means special arrangements have to be made for those arriving at other times. Otherwise this would be an excellent choice.

Visiting for a conference we stayed for 5 nights. The room was very spacious, clean & comfortable. Great to have the convenience of a little kitchen, and we were very grateful for the air conditioner with the weather in the high 30s.

We wanted a great quality apartment within commuting distance from Florence, for a 2 day family visit. Prato is a lovely historic Tuscan town and the apartment is at the heart of Prato. A 5 minute walk takes you to the train station, where you can get a direct train to Florence in 30 minutes. The apartment slept 2 adults and 2 children comfortably and the Air con was a blessing. The receptionist was great and we enjoyed discovering Prato and Florence.

Fantastic apartment style rooms in central Prato. I stayed in apartment 11, which overlooked the main street and was a little noisy as a result. Overall I was very happy and I'd definitely look to stay here again if I come back to Tuscany. Prato would make a great base for a sightseeing holiday of the region.

Thank you so much for your review. Yes, apartment 11 is a little noisy in the night, because people go out in the evening and walk and talk in the street. Even if apartment 11 is high and very bright, next time you can tell us that you prefer a quieter room, and we will be very happy to give you a room on the back. We do hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you here again soon.

Enjoyed my stay at Residence Manassei. Location is great, can't get much more central in Prato. The rooftop terrazzo is fantastic. I wish I could have spent all my time up there. Rooms were spacious and the small kitchenette was useful. Would have appreciated a larger Moka coffee maker than the one provided as well a wider range of glasses (e.g. wine) but these are minor quibbles. There is some street and bell noise, but that's life in Italy ;) Julio and Chiara were friendly and helpful hosts. We had no trouble checking in out of hours.
