Good morning Richard.
I'm not sure whether the Ariane has king beds in any of their bedrooms. Best ask them directly I think.
Also the rates for an extended stay at the Ariane are listed on their excellent website.
If and when you do visit Ypres and the surrounding sites and countryside, I hope you have a good and memorable time.
It is a place that British and Commonwealth soldiers fought and died for in their many thousands.
I visit most years as I have 2 Uncles who perished, one on the Somme and one in Passchendaele.
As a Canadian I would strongly suggest you take time out to visit Vimy Ridge. Your blokes fought bravely there and in my opinion, it has the most magnificent of all the War Memorials erected in Northern France and Belgium.
I promise you that it will take your breath away when you first see it some miles away. I go most years and it still makes me gasp over it's great beauty.
Have moments of sadness and reflection whilst there but also enjoy yourself too ! Ypres has many good pubs and restaurants serving decent beer and grub.
Thank you for your interest in our hotel. I'm pleased to inform you that we do have a few groundfloor double/prestige rooms in the hotel. All the other rooms can be reached by lift. Should you mention this when you book the room, we will certainly take note of this.
If we can be of any further assistance, please let us know!
I do hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you here with us!
