Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very hard to sleep with all the noise. Walls very thin. Bed very hard and uncomfortable. Rooms not very clean, a lot of dust everywhere. I had single room 16 I wouldn't recommend it personally. The location is great and owner is nice though those are the good parts.

It was very useful to be able to leave my luggage in the hotel to allow me to do shopping before I checked out. Rooms are very clean and breakfast was great. I enjoyed very much to be in the town center of Florence to visit. I recommend this hotel!

Despite emails confirming elevators, there was only a lift to the 1st floor; the rest was a narrow spiral staircase in one place, or wide slippery stone stairs with no bannister in another; no lights that came on at all in motion detection to get to/from rooms, persistent plumbing noise, no water in taps, broken equipment inside the rooms, and 1 power socket each, and a foul smell. We left. The next day the hotel told booking.com we never checked in, which prevented us from reviewing it there.

First time in many many years that I have ventured into a 1 star hotel, but i have to say it really wasn't so bad. The location is exceptional, within easy reach of the station and of the centre of town. The entrance is well past it's prime, with two decidedly grubby chairs in the foyer, which really should be changed. The owner is very friendly and the room was clean. Curiously, the shower cubicle is in the room, with a wash basin, whilst the bidet and the loo, are en-suite, but in their own space. Fair enough. Tiny TV high in the top corner of the room, and low cost furniture. The shower was awful, but the bed was fine. All in all, great value for a little money, when most hotels in the centre of Florence, cost an arm and a leg.

This hotel is in a great location. It is a 1 star hotel. It is very basic but the price is right! Pay attention when looking for the hotel or you could miss it, the sign is very small. Ring the bell and just wait for the automatic door to open and head to the first floor. It's just a few minutes from the Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station. The beds are clean and comfortable and there are a lot of stairs. The size of the room was average and we had a shared bathroom, that worked out fine for us. The breakfast included was basic drink options and croissant, bread and toasts.

Very friendly and nice.... Showed us the locations of museums and sites to see. Room slightly small, although we came for sight seeing and not to stay closed in the room all day... Nearby the leather market and the food market...

This hotel is in a great location. The staff are friendly, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. It is very basic but the price is right. There is noise from the street but it didn’t interrupt our sleep. I would stay here again. Do not stay here if you have mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs. Overall we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Hotels in Florence are very expensive so we booked this one right away when comparing prices. First off, the hotel is very well located. It's just a few minutes off the Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station and even closer to the cathedral and Piazza del Duomo. So far, the price-location relation is great. Some of the staff were nice and some spoke enough english, but we also encountered two other rather peculiar staff members. But we managed to get along. Pay attention when looking for the hotel or you might miss it, ring the bell and just wait for the automatic door to open and head to the first floor. And keep going, you'll find it. The room we had was spacious and the bathroom as well. On the not so bright side, we think the overall cleanliness of the room could be improved. But it is a 1 star hotel after all. The breakfast didn't have much selection, just some drinking options and a croissant, bread and toasts. We weren't expecting great things from the hotel and booked it for it's price and location so if you treasure that above all, go for it.

Room was clean. I had a single bed with shower and shared toilet. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Good service, staff always friendly. Breakfast was basic, but enough to get you going for the day. Great location.
