It was such a fantastic place for my mother and me. Thanks to all the staff for doing everything to make us feel at home. The place is close to the station but is lactated on a quiet street and is close to all major attractions within a walking distance 15-20 minutes. The interior of the hotel and rooms are corresponding to the city atmosphere and are very clean. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast included all you need. The staff was very helpful and polite. We stayed for a week and I highly recommend the place..for short or long stays!

Small and safe hotel, close to the main train station and walkable from the attractions in Florence. The room was nice, decent size for a quadruple and had a historic charm. The breakfast had a basic spread but everything was fresh and enough to get you going for the day. They had no way to pack breakfast for us when we were leaving early though. Since the building is years old, there was no lift, so we had to pull up our luggage to the first floor through some steep stairs. Guess this is the arrangement for most hotels in the area, as the other buildings seemed just as similar to ours. Many shops and eateries close by, while the hotel was in a quiet road. The reception was friendly. Overall a good experience for a short stay.

Good location, only 5 minutes from the train station , a few minutes from the main food market and all the sights. It was clean and tidy and very nice. It offered a good breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room wasn’t massive but more than comfortable, the only issue for some was it didn’t have a lift so getting suitcases up the stairs may not be for everyone1

This is a 3 star hotel, but provided everything we needed. We were only sleeping there as so much to do in florence, so why spend time in your room. Short walk with suitcases from the train station. Reception is up two flights of stairs, with no lift. But on our departure staff helped with our suitcases down the stairs. Good location to the other famous sights too. We went on many day trips so used the bus and trains, so was very close to the station. We were in room 7, on the same floor as the reception. This room was on the front of the street, but very very quiet. This was adequate for our 3 night stay. A good shower with good strong flow of water. Basic toiletries provided and hair dryer in the bathroom Tv, Wi-Fi and air con in the room, The decor is very traditional with dark wood, in the dining room has English equestrian pictures/ painting scenes. In our bathroom part of the ceiling had the paint chipped away to expose original paint, which was very interesting. Good breakfast - bread and jams, meat and cheese, scrambled egg, bacon and frankfurter sausages. Only 1 pillow per person , but asked for another and was delivered straight away. Not many plug sockets, so could do to be updated, but this is a very old building so might be difficult. There is no outside space or garden/patio area. The staff were very helpful, full English spoken by all. Any of our requests was not a bother to them at all. All in all a very enjoyable stay…

We stayed here because my parents stayed roughly 20 years ago when they visited Florence and they recommended it as they still have fond memories of the place. It has a fantastic location close to the train station. Staff was incredibly friendly. The free breakfast had many options. Our room was very clean. They also let us leave our bags there after we checked out so that we didn’t have to carry them around all day before we left Florence on a late train. It fit all of our needs perfectly at a great price.

Stayed for 4 nights recently and found the hotel ideal for a short break. Very close to the train station and a short walk down Via Faenze into town. With plenty of bars and restaurants on the way. Try upstairs in the market for great street food. The host was polite and helpful and the room was clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend for the price.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Mario’s - it’s in a great central location and only a 5 minute walk from the train station. Very friendly service, room had a nice traditional Italian feel to it, and the breakfast was lovely. Would recommend a visit here.

You are transported to the medieval ages when you stay in this hotel. Rafters 300 years old and the whole rooms too look as old. Though I would have definitely appreciated with a little more efficient lighting, especially if you are wearing prescription glasses. Otherwise the lounge has a great collection of Coffee table books which one can read while having coffee, ofcourse !

Lovely family run hotel in a great location, close to the train station and the Duomo. Room was comfortable although the bathroom was a bit small. Simple breakfast was included, plus nice touches like free refills of your own water bottles with still or sparking water.
