We stayed in the junior suite which overlooked the sea and had a brilliant view of Etna. The room size was ample, the bathroom was lovely, the balcony was small but fitting with the beautiful local architecture.

It is so well located, close to all shops and restaurants with the location comes some noise at night but in all honesty had no effect on us.

The staff here are super friendly, they will really look after you and organized both our airport journeys (with a child seat) it was so well organized and professional. A side note to our driver who was so friendly and gave us a tour guide talk on our way to the hotel.

Our baby was a bit ill and the staff offered us some very useful advice about what to buy and again, just really looked after us.

We love this hotel and hope to return one day. Sicily is beautiful, Taormina is busy but stunning and so much character. This hotel and staff really made our holiday. Thank you!

A special mention must go to the fantastic lounge on the 6th floor which serves breakfast in the morning and drinks, snacks and light suppers in the evening.

This is all managed by "Marla and Carmelo" who do an incredible job. The breakfast was literally to die for. Whilst Marla mans the kitchen, Carmelo delivers numerous dishes of fruit, meat, cheese, yoghurt, breads and pastries to your table. It is like a buffet but more relaxing as you do not have to leave your seat!

You literally sit and watch the amazing views of Mt Etna on one side and the sea on the other while Carmelo brings all these goodies to your table.

Breakfast was included in our rate which was very reasonable and exceptionally good value

Finally, if you are only in Taormina for a short break you could not get a better location. It was bang in the centre and only steps away form the main attractions and all the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. We did not have or need a car and we did not take a single taxi until the day we were leaving for the airport.

Always the best, like going home to family, they greet you with such a welcoming feel, they try to accolade your every need, everyone there is so helpful. The location is great, best views, and easy to get to the central areas, breakfast on the roof is sumptuous with the best views, you can also do drinks up there at night, they once did dinners.

The rooms are adorable and feel like your are home in Taormina, very traditional but sooo charming, you open your shutters and see magnificent scenery from the sea to the volcano and more.

The owners really care, the Grandfather passed away but he took such pride and joy in this hotel, now his children and grandchildren are just as involved and share his love.

They take you to their beyond beautiful beach club with a great pool, lunches, and private Sea area.

We stayed in a deluxe family room. The location is fantastic. A couple of minutes stroll to bars and restaurants and 5 minutes to Corsa Umberto and Greek Theatre. The views over the bay and Etna are stunning. The staff are extremely helpful and happy to answer any questions you have. The room was spacious and was cleaned to a high standard every day. However, there were a couple of significant negatives. We booked a family room - 'Deluxe Room with Sea Etna View'. The hotel website clearly states that these rooms have a balcony. We did not get a balcony. We queried this with the hotel who they said that the room comes with a 'veranda' - basically a big window! We had nowhere to sit outside or dry any wet clothes or towels. Our booking confirmation (direct from the hotel) also said we would have a shower AND a jetted bath. We did not get a bath (jetted or otherwise). If you book this hotel just be careful about what facilities you are actually getting. Finally, we knew that there was no pool on site. However, the hotel website infers that you have use of the Paradise Club Beach Club which is a short shuttle bus ride away. We paid 10 euros each and visited the Beach Club. We were immediately escorted to an allotted sunbed and umbrella on the beach. When we asked about the pool we were told it was an additional 40 euros EACH to use the pool. Needless to say we only went once. Overall, I would hesitate to recommend this hotel - especially if you want access to a pool.

The bathrooms are a liability waiting to happen. There is an 8 inch step up to the toil toilet and another 8 foot step up to the shower. I had to be careful not to trip and injure myself. Also there was no toilet paper holder or kleenex. On the other hand the staff was great.

This hotel is perfectly located to stroll around Taormina's sights, shops, bars and restaurants. The view to Mt Etna is amazing. The mgt and staff were very friendly and supportive and did all they could to help. Early evening aperitifs in the roof top restaurant are a must. Served with charm and excellent brushetta and snacks. NB: unsurprisingly parking is a challenge. Pull up by the entrance to the gardens; run into reception; unload luggage and be taken to the parking garage around the corner.

Although recently renovated there seems to be something lacking especially in the bathroom. Simple things like no place to put toiletries when your in the shower. No place for the toilet paper? Rooms were basic but location was good. Right beside the beautiful city gardens. Taormina is definitely a must visit so hotel rooms could be expensive and very seasonal

What could be better than enjoying a delicious breakfast overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and with a backdrop of Mt Etna steaming away under blue skies. I agree with all the previous reviewers about the venue and service. Drinks and light meals are served in the evening too with the same view but with twinkling lights against a night sky. The hotel is in a perfect location and reasonably quiet. Our only gripe was the lack of a toilet roll holder in the bathroom and drinking glasses in the bedroom. The only problem with not having a buffet breakfast is that something is always forgotten in service and has to be requested but this is really just being very picky!!

This is a wonderful friendly, old style hotel. We booked through a travel agent but were delighted to find a traditional hotel in a lovely old building with great views of Etna and the bay from our room balcony. The room itself was spacious with a comfortable bed and ample space for clothing and a good bathroom. We also had a seating area with 2 armchairs and a low table and lamp. The balcony was a great place to sit and watch the endless theatre of people and vehicles- always entertaining in Italy! Reception and all staff were helpful and went out of their way to assist us and suggest things to do. We borrowed their English version of the Lonely Planet guide to Sicily as we weren’t organised enough to bring one (and contrary to what I thought it’s actually much easier to use a book than the internet! )
Breakfast is served on the top floor with a view to die for and wonderful choice of fresh ripe fruits and produce as well as cooked options. This is also a fab place to have an aperitif in the evening before heading out to stroll through the streets of Taormina to choose somewhere to eat. The bar man was again helpful and brought some delicious complimentary snacks including some elaborate bruschetta, olives, etc.
We made use of the arrangement the hotel has at the Paradise beach club in nearby Letojanni to spend a couple of afternoons on the beach with a lounger and umbrella. They run a minibus shuttle but we had a car so came and went when we chose.
A very comfortable welcoming hotel. I hope we’ll get back one day.

Just a great hotel for our party. We only had a few nights in Taormina and it was brilliant to spend them here. What did we like? The people and how friendly and helpful they were; the breakfasts up on the top floor and the stellar bar staff up there in the evening; the views across town and towards Etna and the sea: the ability to find a parking space (priceless in Taormina) and the ease of getting into town proper. Another thing to note is the proximity of the local botanical gardens/park which proved an oasis of calm. There is nothing to report on the debit side. Everything was great. A very strong recommendation to anyone planning a stay in Taormina and who does not want to spend the big bucks required by the swankier establishments.
