We checked in and left within one hour. The beach was nothing like that shown in the photo, more like a waste land, with the beach house boarded and foreboding. The beach was several blocks from the property. The room was clean, but the overall appearance of the property was disgusting.

Ok , where to start, we were booked in to stay from 18th to 25th may, we checked out after 1st night as we had no where else to go, room was nice and clean staff where scarce but nice. The biggest issues were outside we booked this place for our 25th wedding anniversary so we could relax within the grounds etc.. on arrival just got a bad feeling, place was very very quiet no activity of any other guests no one in reception after I would say half hr girl showed up and checked us In, she was nice, took us to our room it was clean but aircon not working and TV...well it was on the wall , we Decided to go for a stroll around resort and see if it was what the website claimed it to be, oh god, I'm going to put up pics to help people make a wise choice, I booked it through booking.com so I'm a bit dissapointed with them also for not checking out there properties, anyway, I was hoping to get a refund for 6 days as we had to stay 1 night, booking.com failed to get us our money back, they requested photo evidence but after I emailed photos 3 times to them , they say they did not receive them, so I decided to contact resort instead, I sent a nice stern email to them telling them I wanted a refund or I will post pics, a Mr Diego E CALABRESE of Hmc hotels.eu told me to kindly #uck off and post what I wanted and that he would go after me for threats and extortion, so that brings me here, to sum it up restaurant not open , paint falling of outdoor seating area, tiles broken, weeds, flags torn down, dumpsters at entrance car park, just generally dirty outside and unkempt, we ended up staying at the Moderno only 2☆ residence but it was 10 times better than baia sangiorgio resort thank you Moderno residence .Avoid baia sangiorgio at all costs.

We’ve stay here for 4 days and the information about the resort and what we found when we arribe was complietly diferent. The swimming pool it Is public, like for everybody around the resort. The breakfast is horrible. The only thing that we’ve like is the restaurant and it’s not part of the resort.

We stayed for one night at Baia Sangiorgio Hotel in Bari in a family room. We took a taxi from the airport with our 3 children and it cost about 35 euros to get there. When we arrived we learned there were no open restaurants in the area or on property. I wish we had known this information in advance, which is why I am writing this review for other potential customers. We were able to purchase a bag of cheese puffs, ice creams, and two Spritz drinks from the bar inside the hotel lobby for 30 euros. I suggest if you are staying during the off season to go to the market before arriving. My husband went into town and it was very difficult to get there once we were at the resort. There isn't anything in the way of stores or anywhere to eat in the resort area. There is a place cafe called Reef which is a kilometer away but it was not open when we walked by. We were able to buy some meats, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables at a market, which was about an hour's walk away. It would be faster to take a bus to the city center however, the bus passed my husband by while we was waiting for it. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. There were eggs, fruit, tomatoes, an assortment of breads, cakes, coffee, and juice. This property has a lot of potential. I'm not sure if there was a recent storm or if they are renovating the property but everything was closed while we were there including the pool, the restaurant, and outside bar, which we were looking forward to using. I wish we had known this in advance, especially having 3 children. It is a beautiful property and our children enjoyed running around the courtyard and exploring the beach. I have not been to Bari before but I think this hotel would be an amazing place to stay in the summer time. The ocean views are very peaceful and beautiful. The Trulli houses on property are unique and I would love to see what those look like inside. The family rooms have kitchenettes as well, which is a nice feature and there is a mini bar in the room. The family rooms have bunk beds which were great for our children. I had requested a crib but we were never supplied with one. The walls were rather thin and we could hear our neighbors. They could probably hear us as well. Beverages in the mini bar are about 3 euros each, which is pretty standard for most hotels. We enjoyed our one night stay however did learn we payed about 40 euros more than other guests in the same type of room that night so recommend booking directly with the hotel rather than a booking site.

It was just a lovely hotel to stay in, near the sea and swimming pool. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed and very clean. The super king size bed 2.0m x 2.0m was very comfortable. We stayed only 5 days but will certainly go there again and earlier that mid-September as my wife and I did (17th September). As it was end of season, not as many places were open but we still enjoyed it. I would recommend Baia San Giorgio Hotel Resort but would urge you to go before September. Thank you.

We booked here in order to have a restful warm stay before the English winter. We were unnaware that the restaurant would be closed and as we had no car, eating was a problem as the resort is a distance away from any restaurants. The hotel kindly took us to a restaurant for lunch on the first day. The second day we went to Bari town and bought some food for the rest of our stay. We were also discovered that the pool and beach area was a short walk from the hotel and as we require walking sticks, it was not easy for us. The room was clean and airy and we enjoyed sitting outside but there was no bar area so evenings were spent in and around our room. We wished we had hired a car. The staff however were very kind and helpful particularly Francesca who was at breakfast every day.

Worst Customer Service ever. Still waiting for money (quite a substantial amount) to be refunded to my account after they debited my account in error . I sent them my statement to prove the transaction yet they deny taking the money from my account. Would never stay in this hotel as a result. Some people should not work in the Hospitality industry.

We traveled a family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids aged 4 and 7). The place is near Bari airport (~25 minutes ride) . It is a bit isolated so it does require renting a car unless you don't plan to travel around and plan to relax near the sea .The house is spacious and it has fully equipped kitchen which is very helpful when traveling with kids. The breakfast is versatile. Near shopping center is BariBlu. You can go to eat in the nearby restaurant that opens around 20:00 and is very good or travel to Bari .The staff are friendly and helpful, and the surroundings are very pleasant. Highly recommend !!!

The hotel is in the middle of an industrial area. The room was nice big and comfy but the bathroom was stinky, even outside the air was stinky several times. The swimming pool is open from 9-13 pm and 15-18 pm, its not too guest-friendly, and it is open for everyone not only for the hotel guests. You can swim free, but if you want to sit down, you have to pay extra. Only the leader was friendly from the stuff. The yard is weedy. Breakfast was the same every day with industrial cakes and the cheapest cheese.

Response from baia1direzione, Direttore at Baia Sangiorgio Hotel Resort
Responded 2 Jul 2017
Dear Guest, thank you for your review. Our resort is situated in a residential neighborhood with summer villas at 8 km from the city center and very close to the most important by-pass roads that connect us to the north and south and there is no industry here around. As in everywhere, the pool is open at a certain times because we need time for maintenace and treatments. Breakfast is the same every day because every day you have a big choice of everything from salty to sweet, from fruit to vegetables with croissant that come fresh every day from patissery. Last thing, because one of our strongest point we are sad to hear from you that just the leader was friendly because all our staff is always ready to wellcome and help our guests int he best way. Best Regards

The Hotel was nice, the staff were lovely, but the area was quite secluded. I don't think its possible to stay here without a car. it was 25 euro to take a taxi into the central area so a little bit dear. Again the staff were lovely but it's not a lively area.
