The hotel has 2 strong sides: the location, and the staff. I must mention the Front Desk staff, very friendly and accommodating, with quick check in, and check out process. Whoever owns the place, has to bear in mind that even the most amazing staff will, sooner or later, stop covering up any other failures. Good staff members will start leaving the place for a better one as they will be ashamed to work at such a crappy place. I come from the hospitality industry, and I can clearly identify problems in the hotel, which is a low budget given by the owner/owners, or poor management. CLEANLINESS: In my opinion housekeeping staff is not given enough time to clean the rooms properly. When we checked in, the bed tables, including the phone, were literally covered with dust. Therefore there were ants in the room, and the bathroom ceiling and walls were full of mould. I don't understand, nowadays you can easily get environmentally friendly detergents for the mould, and for ants. BREAKFAST BUFFET QUALITY: Even though the variety of products was very wide, the quality was incredibly poor. The cheapest stuff that would be normal to get in the hostel or student sort of accommodation, but not in the 4 star hotel. Very bitter, and burned coffee from the self service coffee machine (1 out of 2 was out of order by the way), green clumps in scrambled eggs, and totally green, not ready to eat bananas.... All these should not be served in the 4* hotel. AMENITIES: We were quite surprised there was no ironing board in the room, normally there are 4* hotels. We asked Reception around 11pm about the possibility of getting it to the room, but the Night Receptionist was clueless where he could find it, and asked to come back in the morning. This situation should not happen as the night shift members should be most experienced, and most aware of all the hotel aspects. We could not wait to do ironing until the morning so I had to do it on the bed. Thank God we had an iron in the car so I was able to prepare our outfits for the wedding the following day.

Good afternoon. We are very sorry, first of all, that your experience has not been as pleasant as we would have liked. Also tell you that there are many customers who shared our facilities on that date and their comments have nothing to do with yours. I could attach these comments about the food, room and rest of the hotel and it does not coincide with yours at all. In the same way, I reiterate my apologies and we will continue with our task of continuing to improve. All the best.

I had booked the urban Grenada because the tram from the bus station stops right in front of the hôtel. Then it's a ten minutes walk to the historical Center. The location is perfect because you can go out at night and find your way back without any trouble. Checking in was Quick and I got room 217. The room is OK but walls require à coat of paint. The major drawback come from the information given the hotel says: fridge and coffee maker or kettle....there was a fridge but out of order. Only noticed the second day when my fresh milk turned sour....and no coffee facilities. I asked immediately if I could be provided with a kettle or coffee maker....the lady at the front said she would care for it....she didn't. I finally asked again and someone brought a kettle without mugs, spoons, coffee or tea...well, I was soooo fed up I gave up. Breakfast was good. Hot and cold dishes. Nothing to complain. Serrano jam, salichon, tomatoe spread, butter, bread, scrambled eggs, etc...cheese and jams plus yogurt. So, considering the price paid, the hotel is a good choice but it was low season. The room didn't have a view. As far as covid prevention is concerned, they deserve a 4,/5. Very good but some customers at breakfast didn't wear 😷 masks. I didn't take any indoor pics but they are accurate.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and I cannot say anything bad about it. It was extremely clean, modern, good amenities and staff was friendly. The room was big, there was a safe and a fridge which are always nice. It is about 20 minutes walk from Centro but i actually prefer it like this. There is also a supermarket 1 minute away and lots of restaurants accross the street. There is an indoor parking but not at the hotel, maybe 300 m further. It is a paid parking and the hotel can give you a voucher to save about 3 euros a day. The parking is about 14 euros a day, a very big and easy to access one. If you are travelling by car, the hotel is easily accessible when entering the city so no traffic. There was a bar and the possibility to have breakfast but we did not try thise

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a Travelsphere tour of Andalucia. Although we didn't have to check in personally, so can't comment on reception staff, first impressions were not good. The hotel is on a busy main road in a rather unsalubrious looking part of the city - it takes less than half an hour to walk from the Cathedral in the city centre but the walk is through a rather run down area. There seemed to be nowhere to eat near the hotel except take away pizza and kebab type cafés with small seating areas, although there is a supermarket a couple of buildings along. The hotel's two lifts are tiny, room for 4 people without suitcases. We were disappointed by our small and dark room, 505, mostly taken up with the two single beds pushed together to form a double, with separate bedding. I think reviewers that mentioned their "spacious" room must have upgraded. The bathroom was tiny and as other reviewers have mentioned the towels were small and thin. However, both bedroom and bathroom were clean enough. Dinner was included and both the dining room and the food were just like a college canteen. The food was set out in a canteen-style buffet. There were very few labels and I found it impossible to find out what was vegetarian: there were no staff to ask when I was at the buffet. My husband had a real "ham" hamburger, which was bright pink, but when a fellow traveller managed to ask the chef what it was made of the chef said "chicken". As the colleague said, "If this is chicken, then we're in deep trouble!" I started with a salad made up of separate items and a roll, then spinach cannelloni with what I thought were crispy potatoes but turned out to be some form of meat (I didn't eat them) and a sort of ratatouille. Even the green beans had prawns mixed in with them. I skipped dessert. As mentioned before by others, serving drinks was a shambles but I did manage to get a glass of white wine. I was charged for a wine and two beers but my husband had had only one beer - one was for the man next to me who thankfully gave me the cash and I paid in cash. Breakfast the next morning, at 7 am, was heaving with groups who had to get somewhere. Ours had timed tickets for the Alhambra, another group was leaving.... Queues for the buffet were unbelievablly long and the two coffee machines and the juice machine were at the end of the buffet counters, and operating them took so much time, holding everyone up. The experience was so bad and stressful I can't even remember what I had to eat! After our wonderful visit to the Alhambra we came back to the hotel and had coffee and tea in the bar, which was ok but with only high stools and tables. At breakfast the second day, at 7.30, the people in our group were just about the only ones in the buffet room, hooray, a much better experience although the food choice was quite limited: pastries, rolls, some fruit, cheese, plain yogurt and cooked dishes. Everyone in our group was complaining about this hotel, it certainly wasn't an urban "dream".

My husband booked this fantastic trip to Granada through British Airways as a birthday treat for me. The staff were so friendly and gave us lots of information to help us get the most out of our short trip - thank you to Carmen and Vanessa on Reception for your passion for Granada and your sense of humour. People make places and they all made this a welcoming home. Our room on the fifth floor looked over the street, was spacious, stylish and well-appointed. No coffee / tea making facilities but it's so cheap to take coffee in town it's not an issue and much more fun to city watch. Excellent breakfast choices with beautiful pastries, cold and hot cooked options, gorgeous fresh fruit and juices. We didn't use the bar or restaurant (other than breakfast) this time but it looked good value and we'll definitely use it nexr visit. There is a metro station right outside the hotel and buses close by. It's a good location to walk into Granada's heart, my husband has 2 knee replacement but managed the stroll comfortably. If you're visiting the Alhambra I'd suggest getting a taxi up there - it is walkable but you'll be walking around there for about 3 hours so it's worth spending about €10 so you are fresh for this amazing experience. We want to go straight back to this vibrant, exciting city and Urban Dream made a dream come true for me and will be the hotel we book on our return.

A stylish modern hotel in a quiet part of the city within walking distance to all the historic areas, welcoming staff with excellent English for those of us with limited Spanish vocabulary, rooms spacious and very clean, comfy beds, full bathroom suite, toiletries, fluffy towels etc. (please note: no tea/coffee making facilities but this is not unusual), breakfast reasonably priced and plentiful with a good range of hot and cold items all very tasty, discounted car parking in an underground car park a short walk away was €14.50 for a 24 hour stay so reasonable for a city centre, overall a brilliant one night stay with 2 full days sightseeing - this was our first visit to Granada and it's a wonderful city to explore with so much to see/do and the fantastic Alhambra Palace & Castle is a must! pre-book or you probably won't get in on the day and the visit inside the palace is timed but at €14 per adult it's fantastic value!). Oh and if you've time go up the road as far as you can to the Sierre Nevadas its stunning up there!

Upon arrival the employee at the reception I think his name was Angel, checked us in. Friendly guy. He offered helpful suggestions on cheapest ways to get around Granada, what sites to see and how, outlined the walking route to the centre of the city, and helped us book our day tickets to Córdoba. Please convey our thanks to him. Maids were friendly, cleaned the room and bathroom to our standards, never forgetting to top us up on towels and other necessities. Half-board. Breakfast always had options available, as did dinner. Being vegetarians, the chef and waiters were more than happy to point out what would suit our dietary requirements, safe to say we didn’t go hungry. Dinner choices were alright. Coffee and tea available with both, had to pay for something as basic as water though with every meal. Beds were ok, pillows could be better as the maid had to give us extra because they were flat. Another minor downside would be lack of kitchenette in the room, though it did have a mini fridge which helped to store the drinks we bought from one of the conveniently located supermarkets opposite the hotel. WiFi was average. Reception, canteen staff, maids all helpful and polite. Would stay again.

We were part of a tour group staying 2 nights, so had little contact with reception, although they welcomed us efficiently enough. The room itself was ok, clean and fairly spacious. We must have been at the back as there was no view out of the window but that meant it was quiet. The bathroom was a mixed bag. There were grotty looking thin, grey towels and a horrid dispenser on wall for gel such as you find in a public toilet. The bath has seen better days, scratched rusting plug surround, and where sealed at the top looks horrid, but there was a new shower unit and the sink was ok. Evening meal was a buffet. Poor service We sat at shared tables. Of the six of us, only 4 people (2 couples) ordering drinks. The waitress put all on one ticket. They say they cannot charge to room or put on separate tickets. The waitress was quite rude. Not sure why it was such trouble to write on two pieces of the notepad rather than one! Which meant one person had to pay, (who we don't know that well) and we luckily had the cash to re-imburse him. They don’t listen to what you want and just bring and plonk it down. No respect. Feel as though you are treated like cattle. I didn't like the food, and there were no labels so you don’t know what it is, although the chef did try and help and tell us "fish". I could see that - I wanted to know what sort! The room then filled up with French and Japanese groups. It was really noisy. This certainly does not feel like high class dining. More like a canteen. Breakfast was similar, although they did do the best scrambled egg of the tour. and the second evening at dinner there was a nice chef cooking the fish. Second breakfast - no bowls – ran out and had to wait ages to be able to eat cereal or fruit!

My wife and I spent two nights at Urban Dream. It’s a lovely, well located hotel. Reception staff were very helpful. We had a room at the front so can be quite noisy but I’m used to that in London. The bar was a focal point on Corpus Christi Festival and it was great to watch and be part off. I would return here.
