So disgusting !!! Carpets are dirty old and ripped. Paper is tearing off the walls. Furniture is old (not as in antiques, as in old, scratched and in bad condition). No lobby, nowhere to sit to even wait for your room or wait to meet someone. Cleaning staff leaves huge bags of dirty linens and towels all over the building.

On arrival, there was a young lady working on reception and she was so helpful, it was a pleasure to speak to her, The rooms are a little outdated but spotlessly clean with all the amenities. The breakfast was amazing too Overall a really lovely place.

With the exception of the location, which was perfect, everything else was awful: from the bed fleas, to the wallpaper that had been ripped off, to the musty smell in the room, to the sheets that hadn't been changed... a horrible experience!!!

The bed was alive with bugs. The sheets were stained with blood from bug bites. Please stay somewhere else. I try and take negative reviews with a pinch of salt. I wish I had listened to the ones for this place. The room looks lovely. The bathroom is fine. Breakfast wasn’t bad. The bed bugs are something else.

It was ominous to see old mattresses stashed in the back yard. And then I was bitten at night, resulting in a full body rash that has still not gone away 3 weeks later. Was not sure the night was in the hotel until I caught one on the bathroom floor and full of my blood. Desk clerk said he was sorry this happened to me and that was all. Great location but not worth the health complications.

The hotel is in a great location. Unfortunately, that great location is apparently really attractive to bedbugs as well as people. We checked in to Room 7 (in the basement, right next to the breakfast area at the bottom of the stairs), and when we arrived back after dinner we found bugs all over the pillows, the sheets - everywhere. The front desk did refund our money, but now we're heading to a new place at 12:30 in the morning, so I can't recommend this to anyone. STAY AWAY.

This Hotel should have been a nice mid priced hotel but it wasn't. The good: 1) The cleaning staff were very nice. 2) The kitchen and dining room staff were very nice. 3) Good location close to trains and the Underground. The bad 1) They were changing out all of the Windows when we stayed there so we had scaffolding and green netting to look at out our window. 2) The walls of our room were dirty and in a few spots the wall paper was coming off. 3) After the first day we had water leaking from the bathroom above us into our bathroom. This would causa the breaker to keep popping and the light facture to fill up with water. we had this problem for 7 days. We tried to move rooms but they were all booked. 4) The air conditioning didn't work 5) The fan also didn't work 6) The windows wouldn't stay up so I had to prop them up to help cool the room 7) There were several other people having similar issues in the hotel. 8) I asked several times about a discount and they just kept putting me off and on the last day I was told that the desk clerk couldn't do that and no one was around that could help but that they would have the manager contact me. It's been over a month and no one has contacted me or responded to my mails. I would never stay there again. …

Nothing in the photos show the peeling wall paper, chipped paint, incredibly small double with no room fir luggage. Smelled like a sewer on arrival. Had to keep windows open to avoid foul odor… street noise is very loud. Would NEVER stay here again. Great location… so 1 star

Hotel is in a good location however I ended up getting bitten from head to toe by bed bugs whilst at this hotel. Wish I had of read the google reviews prior to going there as there are multiple complaints on there regarding bed bugs. Hotel is tired and shabby, clearly hasn’t had any money spent on it for a very long time. Definitely wouldn’t return.
