+nice beach area +friendly staff - really outdated rooms. It looks dirty even though i believe cleaning ladies do their best, but it is just to old to look clean. - sheets have stain - zofa had white stain all over it ( don’t wanna know what this is about) - we paid for most expensive room (30% higher price), we thought we will get nice lake view. Their response was that no, we have just paid for room with zofa (remember stain?!) . Good to know, that we have paid for room with that dirty zofa. I would prefer they would move it entirely. - breakfast cost 6 eur per person and it is really not worth it. You have so many nicer and better places around to eat. I will definetly never go back. There are so many nicer options around lake.

We have booked the hotel for two nights for what was to be lovely family reunion. One would think that with such a large booking, we took over 6 rooms, they would be looking after us with kindness. The hotel manager was very pushy, we had to lock in our dinner orders by 2pm if we wanted to be served for dinner around 6;30pm due to the staffing levels At the time of booking we have been promised a function room which would give our kids freedom to move freely without worrying about interrupting other guests and also ability to walk directly out to the lake, which is the reason why we chose the hotel in the first place. We were told the function room was not available to us, and was just locked and abandoned. We asked for the dining room door to be opened (which was by the way marked as the emergency exit!!!) and were told that they will not. Very stroppy floor manager, in rude manner said the owners make the rules, the door is to remain locked, full stop. Slightly illegal, given it was an emergency exit, and also inconvenient. Every time we wanted to go down to the water we would have to walk out of the building , through car park and back down. On our first morning we wanted to take breakfast a a little terrace/balcony and were told we may not! No real reason was given. We were instead to be seated in a stuffy dining room while there were about 4-5 tables available outside for noone. My relative has actually been locked out there by a staff when he refused to return indoors. We had to extensively negotiate with the property manager to be reasonable and let us use part of the hotel facilities. Completely ridiculous. I think they never heard of customer service and making people welcomed. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Double room had two single beds pushed together, with wooden frame in the middle. Uncomfortable and would not call a double bed. Hotel facility, rooms were mostly clean, but tired. Shame the property management does not make more of this hotel with good location and reasonable facility.

Location – to get to hotel you probably need to take a taxi or the city train, as it’s not really walking distance from train or bus station. hotel is located right by the lake and has beautiful private beach for its guests. Room – I haven’t stayed in the hotel so not able to comment on the actual accommodation Staff – all staff is really friendly from receptionist to waiters and even cleaning staff – just superb top quality service Gym / spa / fitness classes – you can book sauna at the reception, the cost is the best in this area 6euro per person, it is quite possible that you will be in this area alone. The gym is small but well equipped and has all you need for a basic workout at a lake side hotel. Hotel offers also jumping and Zumba classes that are really popular. Food – food is good quality buffet stile

This is the third time we have stayed at Hotel Zatoka, three summers in a row. I wanted to be able to give a better review, but cannot. Pros: The staff was wonderful, doing as much as they can with the limited resources made available to them. Friendly as can be, even with language barriers making it more challenging to communicate. Cons: Everything else. Physically, the facilities are going downhill and are in serious need of updates. The carpet was worn thin throughout. Our bathroom tub had a handheld showerhead but no shower curtain, nor even a shower bar to hang a shower curtain, so it was guaranteed that the bathroom floor would be slippery after any attempt to shower. Breakfast and dinner were included with our package, but they rapidly ran out of the more popular food selections on the buffet and there were no other options. Coffee was lukewarm several mornings as the pots were only working intermittently. Zatoka advertises a private beach on the lake, but the water along that beach was considerably more polluted with algae etc. than the nearby public beaches. Someone in our party overheard that the hotel is being sold soon, so the current owner doesn't want to spend any money. Hopefully new ownership will invest in the updates needed for the staff and guests to truly enjoy this well-situated property.

For what it costs it's worth staying It's not a fancy modern hotel but it has everything you need if traveling with family The location is the biggest advantage, it's right on the lake with a piece of private beach and possibility of renting a small boat so it makes it perfect place for fisherman The rooms are so and so but the quality of beds is ok Tv was working with high level of disturbing noise but I assume nobody comes to Senec to watch tv so it is minor thing I have to say that the cleanliness could be improved, it was looking tidy and clean but when I had to move a bit the wall bed because I dropped something there I had seen so much dust that I'm sure that nobody has ever moved that bed at all :/ The breakfast was average on the border of being poor The service instead was very nice , they were helpful and very polite and made us feel welcome and at home Thank you and see you maybe another time

Eva on reception was very friendly and helpful, she told us all about the surrounding areas which was really interesting. Eva also gave us suggestions for dining in their restaurant and the food was great. The rooms are spacious and clean with a great view of the lake. Like many hotels in Europe there was no shower screen or curtain which makes it difficult to shower without flooding the bathroom, but other than that small complaint the hotel was very nice, the price is great and I would recommend staying here.

Our two nights booking included dinner and breakfast. When we arrived at 8pm, the restaurant was closed already(we called the hotel the previous day to inform them about our arrival time, and they did not mentioned this), receptionist barely could speak English, and was not nice at all. Could not suggest any other place to eat. There was no heating in the hotel (during night the temperature went below 0), so had to ask for an extra blanket, which was quite difficult task for the receptionist, but finally we got it from another room, as they had no spare blankets in the hotel. The room was quite dirty, walls dirty, glasses dirty, towels old and very used. On our second night there was a wedding in the hotel, so we could not sleep until 4am. All they could repeat is "I am sorry." For everything. Only positive thing was to find a Hungarian speaking waiter who was very helpful, as the other waiters could not speak any English. I do not suggest this hotel to anyone.

We have stayed for one night. The summer season was over, so the hotel and the surrounding was not very busy. The hotel is located exactly at the bay of the "Slnecne jezera" (Sun lakes) in Senec, in a holiday resort (access can be in summer limited to resort guests, guessing from the gate at the entrance of resort). We have got a room with lake view, which can be asked for right upon the reservation (recommended). Price was average-to-good, compared to similar resorts I know. Hotel restaurant is open during the day, and there are many possibilities in the surrounding where to eat and/or drink. Reservation and check-in was without any trouble, everything needed is on the hotel web-site, the staff is nice and helpful. You get a traditional key to the room door and also a card, for lift operation. The hotel interior is decent but nice, it is not last-year rebuild, but well-maintained, and, what is important to us, very clean. The room was on the larger side of what I have seen in Europe. The bed was equipped with quite firm matresses, but the sleep was very good. Expect thin and soft pillows (somehow standard these days everywhere). My bed was making sort of squeaking noise upon larger movements, which I would for sure asked to be fixed if I had stayed longer (and I am sure it would be fixed), this is only minor drawback. Hotel offers relax-center (included in room price). We had a breakfast in the morning (included in the room price), which was without doubt one of the best breakfasts I have ever had in a hotel, and I do travel a lot (more than my TA account looks like) - 5 items on the menu card with quite rich buffet of extras. I would go back just because of the great taste of the ham'n'eggs there. Really delicious. Overall, I got more than I have expected, and this is not a feeling I do get very often.

Hotel is directly in "Senecke jazera area," really nice place with beautiful nature in Senec town. Lake is only 100 meters from hotel and if you have room in right side - you have wonderful view. The price for room is not very "traveler friendly" but staff is really very friendly and helpfull.
