Very nice staff, very good restaurant/menu, incredible wellness. Good location, very close to hills/slops, and not to far to nearest city. Forrest surrondings. Dogs accepted. We had reall ygood time there. Good for both winter and summer staying.

My wife and I stayed at the Bystrina for four days in Jan/Feb 2018. We had a skiing holiday booked. The offer, including lift passes, was excellent. The room was comfortable with good wifi reception. However, the bonus was the excellent Wellness centre at the hotel. Brilliant after a day`s skiing. Although one had to leave the hotel to go to the restaurant the breakfasts were varied and of good quality. Equally, the evening meals were good with a range of typical Slovak dishes. However, one word of caution! Don`t ask for fried potatoes!

The hotel is little bit hidden from the road and the entrance is a little bit off, so a little bit of looking is needed. Rooms are very clean and you can see that it had been renovated, but a pity that the design is very old, even the lights are old white and unpleasant… Rooms are very basic and quite small. The staff is lovely- very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is very basic. Overall, as others wort- no atmosphere

Stayed in Hotel Bystrina in August 2017 for 5 nights. This was our second time staying there, the first time was two years ago. The hotel and all the services were even better than the first time. We observed that the quality of service, a long-term pain of tourism industry in Slovakia, has improved considerably. The hotel and the room were clean, fresh, quiet, no problems whatsoever. The reception as well as a very small bar are located in another building, not too far away, which makes the hotel a quiet building. There is a small reception directly in the hotel, but it's only open on certain days, when more guests are expected in the wellness center (I guess). This was no problem at all. Dialing the main reception on the room phone worked reliably every time (they picked up fast), and the receptionists dealt with our requests to our satisfaction. The two receptionists with whom we interacted were pleasant, attentive and spoke fluent English. The main restaurant - Koliba - is situated about 1 minute walk from the hotel. It was a delight. Fast service, a good variety of meals - from spicy to sweet - and very reasonable prices (6 - 10 Euro for a meal, few meals above 10 Euro). Enough staff. The waiters have ipads and collect the orders on them. We were literally ordering the meals, and another waitress was already bringing us drinks that we just mentioned to the waiter... Fast, but not rushed. Good sized portions and tasty! Easy to put on a few extra pounds, especially with the helping of beers on tap. There's also a decent wine list, including sparkling wines and a selection of better Slovak and Czech wines. (Slovak wines have improved a lot too). If you feel like it, there is a small bar area at the main reception, with a selection of spirits, bottled beers and chilled wine bottles (or by the glass). Having researched other hotels in Demanovska valley, I believe this hotel is the best deal around. Check out their Family Package or any other packages on offer, pricing for kids is very favorable. There is an amusement/adventure park/skiing hill in a nearby village (about 2 km) with bobsleigh track, trampolines etc. There is a hike route starting right behind the hotel (quite a steep one). Drive 10 km down the valley road, and you're in the hiking/skiing paradise! We didn't try the wellness. Perhaps they could put a bit more art work in the rooms. And this spoiled customer would ask for air conditioning. It was hot when we were there, but bearable.

We stayed at the Bystrina for 5 nights. We were 2 adults and 3 children (3-6-9), so we got a big and comfortable suite (3 rooms). Most important is that the service of the staff and especially at the desk was amazing!! So helpful, the ladies were always happy to help and to give outstanding service. Spoke very well English. Good facilities in the room and comfortable beds, livingroom and bathroom. The location is perfect if you wish to spend a few days in the low Tatras or for a ski vacation. Close to any location you would like to go to. If it's up to the mountains- Jasna, Chopok, Liptovský Mikuláš, the lake or the caves. The nature around the hotel is amazing and worth walking a bit and enjoying fresh air and beautiful views. There is much to do for the children- a nice area to play with a a lot of toys for little children, some slides and trampoline outside. The restaurant offers a very good breakfast, and we did enjoy a few dinners there too (not included). I thank hotel Bystrina for making our vacation at the low Tatras perfect!!

This was our second winter stay in Hotel Bystrina, and for the second time we were leaving fully pleased. Rooms: comfortable, clean, warm. Staff: efficient, friendly, discreet. Wellness & SPA: very good facilities, an excellent end of the day after skying. Outdoor parking: ample, kept clean. Skying equipment lockers: very handy, heated. Restaurant: offers good meals, freshly cooked, reasonably priced. Location: close to slopes, ski-bus stop 200 m from hotel. Skying: excellent conditions, both for beginners and advanced skiers. Nice bars and restaurants, plenty of skying equipment rentals, all reasonably priced.

For those looking for convenient options for skiing, Hotel Bystrina is a good option. It is close to the bus stop, the restaurant which is next door has good food, and the spa is above expectations (thanks to the EU subsidies!). Drawback is that the hotel lacks atmosphere (Jasna itself is also not the most 'cosy' ski village in the Tatras but has great skiing) and the hotel is frequented by the more noisy type of travelers. Good option for ski fanatics that do not have their own transport, less so for families.

Dear Pauiline, we are please that you have find the time to evaluate our hotel, the reastuarant and all the services we provide. To the noisy travelers - in hotel rules (every room has a brochure with these hotel rules) there are appointed the Silent hours – the guests are obliged not to disturb other guests at nights hours form 10pm till 7am - we try to acquaint the noisy guest about that, especially when they disturb after 10pm. In case some noisy gusets are noticed, it should be reported to night reception that is nonstop and we will try to do our best to solve this issue. :)) Anyway we hope to see you in our hotel the next time :) reception Jana
