A very well thought-out little museum that is crammed with Antonio Gaudi history. The funicular of la Sagrda Familia and the explanation of Catenarie Arches was fascinating.

Tour provided in multiple languages (via headset) and very accommodating staff.

Institut Pere Mata is a modernist building located in the surroundings of Reus, a town in Tarragona Province, in the South of Catalonia. It was built between the end of 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th Century and it was a psychiatric hospital. In fact, nowadays it is still a psychiatric hospital, but you can visit the zone for rich people, which is not in use. Really, in this zone you can see some rooms with a very beautiful modernist-style. In fact, it was built before Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona, which has the same characteristics and the same architect (Lluís Domènech i Montaner). Very interesting visit.

Plaça del Mercadal is the main square in Reus, a town located in Tarragona Region, in Catalonia. It is a very beautiful square, where there is the town hall, the tourist office, some important buildings like Casa Navàs (a modernism-style building) and some bars and restaurants, where you can eat or drink something and relax. Probably, it is the best square in the town. Also, close here, there is the main church of the town. Very nice.

Prioral Sant Pere is the main church in Reus and it is located in the center of the old town. It is possible to visit the church, which was built in the 16th Century in a gothic style, and also go up to the bell tower, from where you can see the bells and very nice views of Reus and surroundings (in fact, you can see until Mediterranean Sea). It is a guided visit, where you can learn about some objects of the bell tower. Very interesting and nice.

Reus has a wealth of Modernist buildings. It seems not many of them are open to the public and maybe the original interiors haven't survived. The town has produced a map and list of the buildings and there are two excellent books but it would have been nice to have had a pocket guide to the buildings to use as you are walking around

Great fun for the children, we had a 3 year old and an 8 year old both had great fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. Adults pay a bit extra than on previous visits, this is apparently so that adults can use the park facilities!! The only thing that bothered me was the condition of a lot of the animals, they seemed a bit uncared for with minimal facilities. Sad to see and a bit disconcerting.

Salvador Vilaseca Museum is the archeological museum located in the center of Reus. It is a little museum, where you can see two temporary expositions (one about photography and the other one about Reus in the dictatorship of Franco period), interesting. And also a little exposition about archeological objects found in the surroundings of the city. Also interesting, but too small.
