Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Diana Carolina S26 contributionsIt was amazing this little musseum, with loads of history and curious details about Mevagissey.
Really recommended to visit and the people working there is very friendlyWritten 24 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of car parking available, do use the ones just on the outskirts of town not the harbour one. In high season it would be a nightmare.
Finding the harbour area is easy and the little lanes leading to it have tourist shops, pubs and places to eat.
The harbour is still heavily in use with fishing boats moored up. You can walk along the harbour wall to the small lighthouse. From here there are lovely views looking back to the harbour front.
Good footpaths are located either side of the harbour so you can view it from all sides. Many of the properties on the hillside are holiday lets.

- markaaroncTamworth, UK205 contributionsDavid’s gallery requires a text or call for him to come down to open. The sign says 6 minutes and he was bang on time.
We purchased his ‘Red Admiral’ book and a beautiful print of st michaels mount both of which he lovingly wrapped whilst recounting the most amazing stories of his life. I could have listened to him for hours.
Experience is everything.
We couldn’t recommend a visit here highly enough to give it the praise it and David deserve. Thank you David for making our day extra special.

It's a bit off the beaten track but there's parking for about 10 cars, they serve cream teas and you can sample their wines! Free to walk around the vineyard, it's only about 1 acre. Recommend this years white! The dogs are very friendly!Written 2 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kessy19Oxford, UK26 contributionsLovely little shop in lovely town. My sons loves riddles so wanted to know the answer to the one outside on the blackboard. The lady was so fun and kind to him, he's autistic (so finds new places and people tricky) and he shared his own riddle with her which she promised to put on the board next. fanstatic wee shop to purchase some holiday readsWritten 12 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
