Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I just don’t know what to say except breathe taking ! Angkor Wat and the National Park is probably one of the wonders of this world. Don’t make the mistake to visit just for 3 days unless you are a marathon runner or iron man. If you’re really wanting to see this amazing place you will need at least 5 to 7 days. We stayed for 3 weeks and didn’t get to see everything!

We spent the afternoon here after doing Angkor Wat at sunrise in the morning. It was not nearly as crowded and was nice to have less people milling about. Our tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend doing this as well.

A bucket list must! You have made it to Cambodia, surely this is why you came? Note: the ticket office is separate to the park, consider buying your ticket the evening before if you want to see the sun rise at Angkor Wat. Be sure to get there as early as you can, its worth it. You will need transportation around the park as it is VAST. Wear comfortable shoes, a hat and be sure to have sunscreen and plenty of water. Do a little research beforehand to get the most of the trip.
Yes the place gets busy and the locals want to sell you their wares but for most people this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself into something totally unique.

We were not expecting this given the historic town! It really is a street of bars and music and you could be anywhere. Glad we went and there is a big choice of bars and shops and it is very lively. Bars very cheap!

Unveiling the majestic Baphuon Temple in Cambodia, visitors are transported back in time to the 11th century, where this architectural masterpiece dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva stands as a testament to the Khmer Empire's rich history and cultural heritage. The temple, built during the reign of King Udayadityavarman II, served as the state temple of Angkor Thom, showcasing intricate carvings and a towering pyramid shape that reflect the Khmer architectural style of the period. Thanks to extensive restoration efforts funded by the French government, the Baphuon Temple has been meticulously preserved, allowing travelers to witness its grandeur and historical significance firsthand. As one of the largest temples in Angkor Thom, the Baphuon offers a unique opportunity to explore Cambodia's past and architectural prowess, making it a must-see destination for those interested in ancient wonders.

We booked this from seeing the reviews on TripAdvisor as we are not people who want to be in big groups. Several acquaintances who have been to Cambodia did question if we were doing the right thing as they felt it was risky. All I can say now is that it was 100% the right thing as Daniel and his guide plus his friend who drove us one day were amazing. Daniel was so lovely and from the day I contacted him several months ago kept in touch and suggested our itinerary which he would have been more than happy to change if we had wanted him to. On day one we visited Angkor Wat for the sunrise which Daniel took us to in his tuktuk with his guide Sok. Sok was a registered guide which you have to use in certain places and he was as lovely as Daniel and very knowledgeable. He was also a great photographer and took most of the photos on my IPhone (maybe he should take this up as a second profession!) On day 2 we went by car to the national park and as Daniel does not drive his friend took us along with Sok who again had great knowledge of everything. Day 3 we went to the floating village just with Daniel. Everything was tailor made for us and we could not have asked for more. We were sorry to say goodbye to Daniel as we felt we had made a friend. His service is second to none especially if you want an individual tailored tour. Cold water & cold towels provided constantly in the heat. He has even been in touch since we arrived in Vietnam to ask if we are enjoying our visit. Amazing service and amazing man!

    He is an absolute rockstar!
I was a solo female traveler in her forties. First trip to Cambodia. I found him through trip advisor and contacted him via WhatsApp.

What a legend! Less than 30mins into contacting him via WhatsApp he responded and collected me from the airport in Siem Reap, took me to the hotel. I shared what I wanted to do - the floating village on the day I arrived and then the next day to Angkor wat temples for sunrise followed by the mountains, waterfalls and the reclining Buddha.. then later Bayon temple and sunset in Angkor wat again. In between he dropped me back to the hotel to rest and freshen up.

He always had water and a hand towel. Was very knowledgeable, gave me the best advice and kept me safe.

Thank-you so much Mr Seng, I’m eternally grateful. You took such good care of me! I look forward to coming back with the family soon!

This was our last temple in Cambodia, and it was great! The temple isn't big, it doesn't take a lot of time. It's 3 levels, so you have two sets of stairs to climb. They're not bad at all. It's a beautiful temple, and the five sanctuary towers on the top have gorgeous carved detail. And lions. Big lion statues. The view from the top was great. This is another one that is pretty quiet, not many people. It was great having the place mostly to ourselves.

Mr.Wang is a nice guy and good Tuk Tuk Driver. We took multiple rides one day, in our short trip. He speaks English well and takes you safely, where ever you need to get to in Siem Reap area. He is jovial and good to be around.
I would suggest to use his services.

This terrace was used by the king and important people to watch elephant fights in the field below. The interesting part is when you walk down the steps and see the carvings along the base.

Banteay Kdei is a stunning small temple located near Srah Srang and Ta Prohm in Siem Reap. It is often overlooked by tourists, making it a peaceful and beautiful spot to visit. The temple is a must-see for its photogenic beauty and unique architecture. Exploring Banteay Kdei should only take about an hour, but the experience is truly unforgettable. Cambodia's temples are truly one of a kind and Banteay Kdei is no exception. Don't miss out on the opportunity to explore this hidden gem.
