Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Wilfred WManchester, UK11 contributionsMy recent visit to Tbilisi's Old Town (November 2023) was nothing short of a magical journey through time! From the moment I stepped onto the cobbled streets, I was transported to a world of architectural wonders and captivating charm.
The buildings, adorned with intricate balconies and vibrant details, felt like living pieces of history. The Narikala Fortress perched on the hill provided breathtaking views, making me feel like I was part of a medieval fairy tale. The mix of styles – medieval, neoclassical, and art nouveau – created a visual feast for architecture enthusiasts like myself.Written 22 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ana JTbilisi, Georgia7 contributionsThis fortress is just before the bridge separating Samegrelo from Abkhazia. In addition to visiting the fortress, if you go on top of it you will have a great view on Abkhazian landscape. It is an abandoned fortress, therefore no working hours restrictions or entrance fees. If you are in Zugdidi, then it is a nice place to go.Written 7 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LolaGo1Washington DC, DC6,468 contributionsMy hotel is located around here so I walked around this Square during the duration of my stay. At the center of this Square is the Statue of Saint George. There is a lot of traffic here so pedestrians need to use the Underground Passages to go from one section to other areas of the Square.
There are government offices, restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, taxi stands, Group Tours, Money Exchanges, etc. here.Written 13 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went there with a 2 years old baby in a stroller.
I can't recommend doing such thing because the streets are steep and cobbld stoned. But again, the sight is great and when you eeach the top you can see betlemi church and also fire temple is on the roadWritten 6 February 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A reminder of the French influence in the region during the early 1900s. Visited this part of town five years ago and am positively surprised about progress. Some of the historic buildings have been renovated or restored (at least the façades) and spots with modern colorful grafiti have been allowed to cover some of the rough red brick spaces. Many small cafés and restaurants have popped up. Overall a pleasant historic ambiance between the white bridge and Colchis.
Not to be missed when visiting Kutaisi.Written 22 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The revolution was mainly peaceful and the Georgians are proud of it.
I did not find the square itself particularly attractive. There is the sculpture of a bike, which is very strange indeed. What I liked most there was the gorgeous view of large parts of Tbilisi that you have from the square.Written 17 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
