Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An easy walk from Elizabeth street

- Rochelle FRandolph, NJ1,046 contributionsWe went on a Friday to the shops which must carry 80% Tasmanian goods to be located here. It was nice to see the crafts, locally made goods and different artisans. We look forward to seeing the Salamanca market which is only on Saturdays.Written 9 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - robyn aWollongong, Australia33 contributionsIf you're in Hobart when the markets are on they are well worth a visit. We explored the variety of craft, food and drink stalls before find a table and chairs and sitting back enjoying a glass or two of Hurly Burly pinot noir which was very good, listening to the entertainment and enjoying the best spring rolls from Filipino Street food.Written 5 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MerrenWHobart, Australia74 contributionsThere is so much to love about The Rare And Beautiful … I was lucky enough to buy jewellery from their Coastal Collection + the huge array of bead necklaces. Prices are very reasonable and the quality is amazing. The Salamanca stall in Hobart is such a great way to see all the incredible and stunning pieces.Written 12 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - westy54Sydney, Australia9,050 contributionsWell positioned shop that offers a wide range of locally made and sourced goods for sale. We were particularly impressed with the beautiful range of paintings and photographs of birds and wilderness and nature settings.
There was also a wide range of other goods for sale with similar themes including jewellery, stationery, books, guides, homewares, soaps, some clothing items and other produce such as teas and olive oils etc.
Prices though, appeared to be geared to the tourist market.Written 23 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I was enjoying my coffee at Muffin Break when the cat played the fiddle and the cow jumped over the moon. Right on the hour - " hey, diddle, diddle the cat plays his fiddle, the cow jumps over the moon, the little dog laughs". There are various tenancies and a Myer store.Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- JcjmanHobart47 contributionsIt is difficult parking near the Antiques Warehouse in Warick St., due to the Hobart City Council's stupidity. It is worth the difficulty in finding the entrance about 40 metres up from Elizabeth St. As you walk in the entrance, mentally say "Open Sazamey" ? like Alladin going into his treasure cave. There is whole floors of depending on your personal taste, both trash and Treasure. I found 2 small sterling sliver salt and mustard spoons from a long gone Hobart Silversmith. If you ask Scott what you are looking for, he may take you there, or send you on your own to find it? You may need a compass to find your way back. Trash or Treasure It is all in the eye of the beholder!Written 19 November 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kevlasultanpusCanberra, Australia179 contributionsThis is a groovy Knick knack shop. Some great lamps and even boots that unfortunately didn’t fit my partner.
