Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- JakeHavertown, PA342 contributionsI'm an art lover. I love Florence. I enjoy wandering into random art museums in small towns in Italy and seeing what they have. And I remember worldwide cities based on how impressive their art museums are.
The Galleria Nazionale is a national treasure. It is one of the finest art museums in Italy and shouldn't be missed. Especially if you enjoy religious art.Written 19 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen KSedona, AZ12 contributionsTeresa (the great granddaughter of the first Moretti glass painter) led us through the workshop and told the story of the artists and the amazing art with clarity and heart. I came away with a much greater appreciation of the art and skill needed to produce the exquisite painted glass. The portrait of Queen Margarita has to be seen to be believed. What a treasure this family has preserved! A unique experience, not to be missed.Written 1 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mivadamoPerugia, Italy1 contributionWe visited the house museum on a bright afternoon and the sunlight certainly highlighted the beauty of this house. We were accompanied by a guide who gave us an excellent explanation about the history of the family that owned the building and showed us around some of the rooms that had been lived in. She took care to explain some objects that belonged to the family and gave us an idea of what daily life would have been like living there.
The tour takes about 40 minutes and is worth the visit.Written 8 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It’s a good 15 minute walk from the main square, Piazza IV Novembre.
It’s easy enough to identify because the 126 metre tall tower means that you can spot it from many parts of the city.
The Dominicans have a long history in Perugia and first built a church here between 1231 and 1260 although what you see here today was completely rebuilt in the 17th century.Written 29 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He is now one of my favorite painters, and I would have never known about him if I had not gone to this museum. I did not think to get any posters of his work at the time, but I contacted the museum later and they went above and beyond in helping me with this.
The museum is interesting from an architectural point of view, combining medieval and modern features. There is also a very pleasant cafe with an emphasis on organic food. I would happily spend an afternoon there.

Small, but containing all the art you need to live another day. Personally I enjoyed the Alberto Burri piece, which is still carved in my mind, never had the chance to see it before...Written 10 December 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
