Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- belladazMilan, Italy19 contributionsThis is a beautiful natural pool that gets filled by sea waves during rough sea times. It's quite pointless to get there if sea is calm as you'd just experience a still and small puddle. It's just about 20 minutes walking from the nearest parking lot and it really deserves a visit (and a swim) when sea is rough.
What I did dislike is that the pool is literally scattered by cigarette stubs and other rubbish left over by very uneducated humans.Written 27 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And water shoes would help getting in and out of the water, which you will want to do - it's so beautiful!Written 8 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mario Attard5 contributionsA Tranquil little village built around this shallow lake where fishermen keep their little old wooden boats. The lake is surrounded partly by a nice waterside walk cafes, little houses and part by reeds and vegetation. It is situated right at the tip of Sicily about 20 drive north of Messina near Torre Del Faro. Lovely place to stop for a little walk and a peaceful break.Written 31 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KikiIsland of Malta, Malta106 contributionsBeautiful little lake in the heart of Nebrodi. Ideal for trekking or a picnic. We spotted cows, wild boar, goats and horses. We trekked here in June but the weather was still ideal and not too hot. Two hours walk further on you can reach lake Biviere.Written 1 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - QProchyPilsen, Czech Republic216 contributionsWe found this beautiful place after the long searching. We could´t find the entrance. There is broken sign on the road and the way inside. Turn left and you can leave your car under the trees. Don´t worry about signs with private property in italian language. The area belongs to the owner of Il Martin Pescatore. Go back to the second stone road and walk down. On the right side of the road, you can found 2 prehistoric tombs. Walk down acros the river. There is yellow house 200m from the small river - there lives owner of the area. He can´t speak english, but his son can. There is big area where you can swim in river lagoon, kayaking, etc. The river is realy clean. The admission is 4 euro for each person.Written 16 July 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Davidbignose!Woodstock, VT2,328 contributions..you cannot seem to get to the lake shore!. That said the walk around it on the small road is fine, but like every where in Sicily, rubbish and fly tipping makes a real mess. The whole island is an eyesore and it has got worse since I visited 30 years ago. A shame...the whole tourist industry should be up in arms as it seriously does take away from the natural beauty. No one seems to give a hoot and bin bags, kitchen sinks and builders rubble are dumped in every layby, scenic spot and on the side of the roadways.Written 14 May 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - phdluchiSanta Maria, RS258 contributionsSurrounded by wonderful volcanic landscape, la piscina is a natural water pool connected to the sea by an underwater channel (approximately 6 m long and 3 m deep). It is an amazing spot but if you come here in August choose the lunch break where few people are there, the pool is quite small and swimming is hard when the place is crowded.Written 12 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jo F1 contributionThis is a beautiful lake, but our GPS tried to kill us on the way there. We finally found it, and here's my advice....use your GPS to the restaurant La Dolce Vita in Regalbuto. Once you pass that restaurant, you run right into the lake parking lot. 😊Written 1 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As you drive out of town down Pizzuta mountain you will see the lake, nature at its best. The lake view can be seen from many areas of the town. there are mountains and hills in the background. When you get to the lake you see its beauty with the natural surronding of the plants and greenery, my visit was in winter time, I didn't get to walk around that day as we were on our way back.Written 16 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alesh1017 contributionsBeneath the sweet hills of Enna you can find this beautiful artificial lake you can easily bath in, where water is not cold and there is no crowd at all. Wind, silence and kind people will allow you enter for 5 euros. There’s also a little snack bar or you can either have a picnic in the shadowed areas. Loved it! After you can sleep in Enna and visit this ancient little town of the center of Sicily, where you can restore from hot weather because it’s 1000 meters high!Written 26 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - B d AAthens, Greece927 contributionsNo matter how you get there it is a little gem Dirillo Regoleto dam withstanding it is a discovery. Ill attended, not very popular it consituted a gem in wilderness that has been nonchalantly harnessed. Ti is a landscape capsule of character and some umolested physical terrain.
