Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Start from the canal basin and walk along the right hand bank (not always possible to be right next to the river!) but the streets along there are lovely. Past Holy Trinity church and down by the Lucy's Mill (small lane on left past HT church) and cross back over the river. If you turn right after crossing the river (good view of Lucy's Mill from the bridge) there is the brand new marina complex (still under construction when we visited). Retrace steps along this side of the river, towards town and take time to sit on a bench and watch boats go past. There is a weir near here, so boats mostly turn around and go back upriver, although some navigate the lock to carry on down river. Walk back to the town and cross back over Clopton bridge. Lovely way to spend a few hours.

My Son and I booked in to the Jungle Hut and went along yesterday for the first time and had the best experience. My 9 year old loves animals in general but reptiles especially. I had been looking for somewhere where he could meet and handle (and possibly feed) some of his favourite reptiles. Having Darren to ourselves for the hour makes it possible to do that and really learn even more about these incredible creatures. We got to meet and handle tarantulas, snakes, lizards, frogs, cockroaches and millipedes and fed some of the lizards. It was out first time having these experiences and we had such a good time. So much better than looking at these incredibles creatures through perspex in a zoo. Highly recommended.

The course is well-maintained with fairly wide fairways. The greens are often well-guarded by bunkers and some have severe tiers. Overall some challenging holes but an enjoyable round as good shots are rewarded. The staff at the pro shop were very helpful. Would return.

Visited this morning for a little casual practice on the back 9. Really love this course, picturesque and well maintained, friendly welcoming staff, sadly nowhere to grab a brew at the end, but due to the current health situation this is fully understandable. Can't wait to go again, keep up the good work 👍

Played at Stratford Oaks for the first time after lockdown.
What a find, beautiful Warwickshire countryside, well looked after with some challenging but not punishing holes.

    Cant wait to go back.

Only draw back, bar not open.

Great golf course, lots of slopes. Take a buggy! Rooms new and smart. Food good, service a bit chaotic with new staff, but very friendly.

Very friendly, funny and educational tour.

I think that people who moan about the cost have no idea of the running cost of a boat like this.

Taken this River cruise on the Avon as part of our coach holiday itinerary. Access is not easy for mobility problems, depending on tide and height of river.
The scenic water trip lasted just about an hour. Coffee and tea, biscuits can be purchased for £2.50, reasonable enough. The lady guide on our trip was Fiona, she was a treat. So pleasant, full of fun and informative of the area and history.
An enjoyable part of our stay in Stratford on Avon .

I received a full body massage ,followed by a facial the following day. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend this place. Ellie was a wonderful young lady who made me feel relaxed and welcome for my first visit.
The reception desk staff are friendly too.
Thank you for a lovely relaxing experience.

I'd booked the boat trip for my sister as a surprise, and I'm so glad I did.

The boat itself was lovely, and Geoff and Leo were both very welcoming and knowledgeable. The route was very relaxing, and the scenery was beautiful. Definitely worth doing and considering visiting again in the summer.

SUP Stratford is a must ( especially on a hot day like ours was🥵)! It’s in a beautiful location although not the easiest to find. It’s a great activity for couples and family’s with teens, the staff were friendly and helpful. you travel up stream and back and depending on how much time it takes you they let u do your own thing (this for us was attempting to push each other off and climbing on to each others boards 😂) for the rest of the time, or longer in our case 🫣.

Great experience with this firm. Called ahead to see if they were open, left a message and received a prompt call back. Arrived and assisted by a helpful chap (? Dan) who gave us a couple of Pashley bikes and suggestions for routes with timings. We opted for the 3-hr option which was plenty of time but the whole day hire is only slightly more expensive in any case. Quick and hassle free to get up and running.

We made it to Long Marston (as suggested and referenced on other reviews) for a quick pit stop at The Masons Arms (opens at noon, soon busy with other professional and fair weather cyclists like ourselves) and then had a quick cycle off the Greenway route on the way back to drop into The Barn Antiques showroom also in Long Marston.

Leisurely cycle back in time to drop off after three hours. Lovely flat and peaceful route. Walkers and other cyclists but everyone was polite and considerate along the way as it’s a shared route. Pleasant scenery and a few places to stop for a photo or coffee.

We are not regular cyclists but thoroughly enjoyed seeing this different part of Warwickshire while staying in Stratford Upon Avon.

Practicalities - you can park up near the hire place but we walked from central Stratford and it only took about 15 mins, not the most scenic route but easily to find (route along the main road drops into a footpath through a residential area and onto the Greenway). We didn’t ask for helmets or a basket but you can get them if you need to. Personally if I was going to go off the track in future, I’d probably want something high vis for the main roads which are 40/50mph+ through the villages. There are a number of stiles and/or gates to cross over on the Greenway. These can be a bit tricky even though they are low as the Pashleys are quite solid but if in a group you can help each other out or ask another passing cyclist who would probably help lift the bike over.

Overall, we though this was a great activity and will definitely hire again when we return to Stratford.
