What travellers are saying
- Jynni W3 contributionsIf you go to Stratford upon Avon and something is on at the Attic Theatre. Please go. The company Tread the Boards has always delivered brilliant shows whether serious Dracula or hysterically funny The Three Musketeers. Even their Panto was stupidly funnily traditionally done!Written 8 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TravellingBrummie26 contributionsAmazing performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream! My two children ages 11 and 12 loved it. Really clear, easy to understand, totally engaging and hilarious. It will be a hard act to follow!Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- StephenCrossDublin, Ireland18,526 contributionsThe Mad museum is located at the start of Henley Street on the right…we walked past the first time. Great concept and super for kids. - Leah PSwadlincote, UK10 contributionsReally lovely way to spend an hour with the family.
We went in half term so it was busy and quite slow walking through the butterfly house. Difficult trying to avoid the buggies everywhere however it didn’t ruin our visit. The butterflies are everywhere and there are benches to sit and hope for a butterfly to visit you!
My children (4&7) loves the mini beast area and watching the leaf cutter ants working hard above your head!
We used our Tesco vouchers which made the visit good value.
Car parking is a pay and display just outside the entrance.Written 17 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - StephenCrossDublin, Ireland18,526 contributionsShakespeare schoolroom is slightly off location wise on the TA map. However, you can’t miss it as it’s a large building and well signposted. Very historic.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Elizabeth D5 contributionsSuch a beautiful house and gardens. We took our dog and she loved walking round the sculpture park and gardens, and me and the husband took turns viewing the house. Staff were all so nice and made the effort to chat and tell us interesting things about the place. We had tea and biscuits at the shed and was very good and decent price. Please note there is a charge on the car parkWritten 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- neilr124Rugby, UK2 contributionsMy wife and I went on the ghost tour at the museum in the evening. Our ghostly guide for the evening was Winifred. She was knowledgeable, eccentric and lots fun.
Highly recommend doing the evening tour with the lamp light, it makes it extra spooky/eerie.
We would like to give a big thank you to Winifred, she was a great listener, as well as a fantastically spooky and funny tour guide. She took the time to chat with my wife Mandy and I after the tour, she was very kind and thoughtful and we learned a lot.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stacy CStafford, UK33 contributionsAn amazing place to visit, there's plenty to do. The area is clean and well maintained. Me and my husband enjoyed a walk along the canal as well as relaxing watching the swans on a bench. There are plenty of shops. - StephenCrossDublin, Ireland18,526 contributionsThe Swan Theatre is at the nicer end of the Shakespeare Theatre. Older and more interesting than the newer version. - Stuart G8 contributionsSo pleased to see Mary Arden’s open again! It was quieter than I recall but the staff were still super friendly and engaging (particularly with children). Additional to the animals there was archery, story telling , Willow making and a relaxed tour of the house.
