What travellers are saying
- jbg74Saint Paul, MN1,057 contributionsThis is a pretty cool walled Monastery and Church. the inside of the church has remnants of some of the original paintings done directly on the walls. There are grapes and olives planted on the grounds. It is definitely worth a stop.Written 8 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jbg74Saint Paul, MN1,057 contributionsThis is an excellent view of the mountains and worth a quick stop if you are on your way from Tbilisi to Kakheti to try some wines. There are so many great places in Georgia with views of the Caucasus Mountains, but this is a nice one too.Written 8 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maria Rachel40 contributionsBig hollow tree. It was on our way to the fortress so it made for an interesting detour for a couple of pictures.Written 6 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Akhali Shuamta is just 0.5km from main road. Now going under major restoration.
Dzveli Shuamna 2.3km and should not be missed. Notwithstanding, you can clearly see strong Persian influences, especially in the King's Palace. Within the complex there are different buildings : palace, royal chapels and museum. Everything, especially the walls and ramparts, are extensively renovated, which is not always a good thing.Written 30 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maria Rachel40 contributionsThe monument is located right next to the fortress so it is centrally located and worth the tiny detour.Written 6 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NickDenver, CO173 contributionsHad the pleasure of visiting this winery with some friends and was shown around by one of the owners David Buadze. David was an outstanding host and treated us like family the entire time. We learned about the wine and the process, drank and ate our fill of food and had good conversations as well.
In the end I'd say we ended up making some new friends as well as enjoying some delicious wine.Written 5 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Amazing view that will be never boring, you can bite the air here it's that clear. Also this place has the best host who i could wish for. Just ask him to take you to Zaza (qvevri maker) and organize a supra with the unbelievable polyphonic singers. I'm not lying when i say i ate the best local food here. A real hidden gem. One of the best place i've ever been, can't wait to come back next year! ♡Written 25 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ivan_002_10Tbilisi, Georgia673 contributionsNadikvari Park is a wonderful place for leisure; you will find walking trails, beautiful nature, playgrounds, an open-air theater/concert arena. This cozy park is just 5 min walk from Holiday Inn and has excellent views of the city. Here is monument to prominent Ukrainian female poet Lesya Ukrainka.
