Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a fun, energetic, eclectic wine tour! Steve was amazing fun guide. Loved the experiences and especially the animals at the first stop! Lunch was amazing and all the wine experiences were very well done. If you want an authentic fun Isla De Maipo experience, definitely book! We also had two vans but we found it didn’t diminish the experience in any way and enjoyed meeting all the lovely fun folks in our van. Pick up and drop off was also speedy and efficient. We went on a Saturday so less traffic in city, so consider that if you have option to book on wknd! Cheers!

Extraordinary perfect day! Our guide Christian was amazing. He was so very knowledgeable about wines, the wineries and the area. He is a trained sommelier and it was clear that everyone at the wineries knows him - he made the day very special. The lunch at Dona Paola was very good. Everything is included.

We spent the day with the most amazing guide, Christian. He was incredibly knowledgeable and everything was precisely coordinated by Felipe ahead of the day. Brunch was lovely and every meal accommodated my gluten issues with no problem! I liked that this was much more of a cultural tour than others we have had, from the home cooked meals to the types of winery tours led by Christian. It was one of our top tours of our ten days in Santiago!!!

We did an all-day bike tour of Isla de Maipo with Christian, and had a great day biking through towns and the countryside, through vineyards, visiting local artists, stopping for lunch, and culiminating with a wine tour at the impressive Santa Ema winery. Definitely recommend Felipe's tours for a genuine local experience!

The tour was so fun and I enjoyed it very much. I traveled alone, but my private guide Christian and driver/coordinator Felipe kept me very good company. We visited three wineries in Maipo valley. I have done tastings in each of them. Each of the estates has its own characteristics and beautiful architectures, and great wines of course. During the trip, Chrisitan shared a lot of wine knowledge with me as well as interesting facts about the city and the country.

A nice mix of hiking, local colour and a wine tasting.
The tour starts with a delicious simple breakfast (country eggs and local bread) at a local artist’s fascinating country house in the Maipo Valley.
Then a medium rated hike at the Alto de Cantillana - about 5-6k with lots of ups and downs (it’s not a circular walk). Good boots are recommended, and sunscreen on a hot day.
Then either a BBQ during the hike or a country restaurant at the end. We went for the latter - to sample local dishes and get some salad & veggies!
Then to a Maipo Valley winery for a tour and a tasting. We went to the superb Undurraga winery - very much recommended!
Our guides were Felipe and Pilar, who were both very knowledgeable about the area and the wines.

I had visited several wine valleys on my last trip to Chile and wanted to check out Aconcagua Valley. Felipe was a fantastic guide to this less visited, smaller valley. We visited In Situ, Flaherty, and Sanchez de Loria and had a lovely lunch at a quaint restaurant. Felipe made the whole experience fun and interesting and he knows the area well. I enjoyed the Aconcagua tour so much I bought a tour to Isla de Maipo with Felipe several days later. I don't think i would have covered as much ground or learned as much if I had tried to visit multiple wineries without a guide. Chile is not like CA wineries, where you can just show up and taste. You must have an appointment, and take the tour before you try the wines. Having Felipe set all of this up, and space out the appointments and lunch to fill the day was awesome. Plus, we had great conversations about wine, culture, and life in general. With Felipe as your guide you will not be disappointed!
