Atashkouh fire temple
máj 2019 • Rodinné
Atashkouh fire temple is one of ancient monument of Mahallat city and is one of the most important works of the Sassanid period, located 5 km from Nimour Road and near the village of Atashkh Nemir. The magnitude of this building is such that it is undoubtedly the highest Zoroastrian firecrack in the world.

The temple is so precious and it is an exciting experience to visit it, but unfortunately there is no preservation for this old historical monument.

On the old toad from Tehran to Esfahan, the village of Nimrood an ancient village where median language is still spoken contains this ancient gem. A well preserved and majestic fire temple. Well worth a visit.

Ancient Fire Temple near small village
máj 2016 • Priatelia
We were on our way from Mahallat to Niasar and we stopped at this great Zoroastrian Fire Temple in ruins. There is some small work done on it, especially its four columns but there is no arches do to more than a thousand years of history and earthquakes and armies coming in and out. There is a small road with signs (in Persian) to the fire temple. There aren't any signs explaining the history of the temple (in May 2016) so make sure to read up on it before you go. A very short hike is needed from the parking to the fire temple. Go during the day time as there are no lights in this area.
