Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful monastery in the mountains. Calm and quiet place to focus. Recommended to wear moderate clothes and if not prepared, pick scarves at the entrance, they are free of charge as the entrance.

What a beautiful monastery set in a gorgeous area. The view of the mountain range is stunning. The well is bringing up water from the rocks, it’s freezing cold. Certainly worth a visit.

Overlooking the river where people who did not want to renounce their faith were thrown into from the church. A lovely place where a wedding was taking place - which made it memorable. Quite a long walk from the car park on a hot day but worth while

A lovely cozy place on a rocky mountain from three sides is surrounded by a river. It's a moving story about two martyr brothers who sacrificed their life for the country and religion.
Erstwhile, there was a castle on this strategically important place later replaced by the monastery.
Views from here are just fantastic.

Was doing a day of monasteries when we came here. Very beautiful day helped. Nice walkway down to the monastery. Accompanied by the obligatory friendly dogs. Lots to see on the way down. Look out for bee hives and lizards. Monastery is home to the relics of Georgian saints David and Constantine. Knowing their story will help you to understand Georgia today. Another must see in a must see country

This is good quick stop on the way to Gelati, breathtaking views. Couples to be married often come here for photoshoots, which adds to the experience. You will have to walk about 500 meters on the road with very narrow shoulder from the parking, just be careful (bride/groom vehicles are allowed there, so there is some traffic).

Hey! Is there an entrance fee? If so, what is it for adult foreigners? Thanks in advance for the answer.

Hi. I can't answer you to your question, as I was going with locals there. Its around 10 km to Gelati and closer to Motsameta (to one way taxi could cost approx. 5 lari). You can take a marshrutka in a city center to Gelati, then walk to Motsameta around 1 km or ask somebody to lift you there. Georgians are very nice and helpful. Enjoy the trip:-)
