Great visit for children
máj 2019 • Rodinné
Ancient textile factory transformed into a science museum. At the beginning you can find a permanent exhibition about different kinds of energy. The rest of the museum is dedicated to the textile process at the end of the XIX century.
There are plenty of activities for children.

A cvery interesting museum in a Modernist building in Manresa
apr 2018 • Priatelia
Museu de la Ciencia i de la Tècnica de Catalunya located in Manresa, is a place where you can learn a lot about looms. There are a lot of different centuries and some of them you can see in work. Very interesting, especially if you are interested in the technical history of the Central Catalonia. Also, the exposition is located in a Modernist building, which is very nice (the old water tank in the city).
When we came here, there also are two temporal exhibitions about the history of Manresa in XIX-XXth century and about typical objects and facts in Manresa like the TDK Manresa (the best basquet-team in the city), the Passeig Pere III, etc.
This part is very interesting if you work, live or come several times in Manresa.

júl 2017 • Rodinné
One of the best example that this art was not only focus on houses or churches. It was also used in factories or wineries (such el pinell de brai).
Nowaddays it’s holding a good technnical musuem, mainly focus on ‘Energy’. The museum is very interesting, specially if your coming with younger explorers....

Not bad at all...
apr 2017 • Rodinné
We came here on purpose, to see the Leonardo da Vinci special exhibition. The collection was nice, but most of the artifacts were look-only and no touching allowed. This, going with children, is stressful for parents and children alike. The rest of the collections were mostly for looking, with limited interaction. In any case, I, being a professional technophilic, enjoyed it A LOT. The part dedicated to the energy is fantastic...
The entrance is, depending on you, cheap. For us, two children for free (members of a local TV club), and two adults also for free (education staff). Other cases, 7€/family of 4.

A fascinating museum on the history of technology
feb 2017 • Páry
As the museum is in a former textile mill, it is logical that its main thrust is the production of textile, from the coal for the steam engine through finishing. One sees the machinery used in all phases. Yet, there's more, one being the history of energy. Again accompanied by actual machinery in addition to hands-on demonstrations. Also an excellent exhibit of d'Vinci's mechanical ideas, with his illustrations and wooden models to give reality to them. Really worth a day trip from Barcelona if interested in technology. There is e en mkre than what I touched on.

jún 2015 • Páry
Lots of interactive fun things to do and touch or play wirh. Especially good for kids and adults with curious minds. Some of the exhibits went in perfect condition or went working correctly, but still entertaining.

Phenomenal history of textile production
dec 2014 • Páry
This beautiful former textile factory (built in the Modernist style) is well worth a visit for anyone with an interest in fabric, factories and factory workers, or "things Catalan". Terrassa was once a major textile city and had the good sense to work some of the most emblematic structures into the post-industrial cityscape. This is one of the great examples of that preservation effort. Tired of the tourist crowds in Barcelona (now swamped with cruise travelers)?? Try a 50-minute train ride to Terrassa (either RENFE or FFCC will get you there, but the FFCC station is closer to the heart of the city, tourist info, etc.)... Nice restaurant, too.

Bigger than I expected
feb 2013 • Páry
We visited the museum on a Sunday afternoon (first Sunday of the month is free) and were surprised at how big it was. There was a special exhibition on nanotechnology and another one on computers and all information was available in English.

What we really enjoyed was entering the big chimeney, and seeing all the old machinery used back in the days when Terrassa had a huge textile industry.
