Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great Stay. All attractions inside are free of charge. Nice staff. Animals were great, especially squirrels. Horrible food - expensive ann only fried things.

The best part of this zoo are animal keepers. They are all young friendly people that love animals and tell you so many interesting facts about them. You think you know a lot about whatever animal, but you don't.
From the animals, guinea pigs were introverted due to covid time and no contact with people, and it was not possible to pet bears, tigers and lions, due to obvious reasons. But all the other animals that could be pet were so fluffy and friendly! I have created a memory by petting mama kangaroo that had a baby kangaroo next to her.
Most of the cafés at the zoo were closed at the beginning of May, probably it was not the season yet. I didn't like the miniatures of the buildings that are the park at the zoo much, but I think that the kids will love them.

Do not visit this place. The animals have horrible conditions, small space, no shadow. For me is safety also big question. Children can see animals in a short distance, but it is high price for poor lions and tigers and bears. Please, do not support this

Animals here live in terrible conditions and staff looked pretty unbothered about it. It’s truly heart breaking to see monkeys having smaller area than squirells. Most of the bigger animals arent even in a group or couple. The best you can do is avoid this place (unless you can donate tons on money to reconstruct the WHOLE area).

Let's start from positive points.
- staff is nice and friendly
- layout is really interesting
- visiting bears was nice experience
- little train is fun for kids.
I truly believe that it will be really nice attraction for families with young children...
... But construction if it has to be finished. IMHO asking 13 EUR per adult while everywhere around you can see construction workers, open construction or blocked access to some of the attractions and the only one animal you are allowed to pet is turtle is a bit disappointing.
At this moment you can book 1 - 1,5h for this place and I strongly suggest to go with your little one and 1 parent.

Nice place for one hour, its not for whole day trip. Its good to visit this place directly from tatralandia aquapark, the price is 5 euro for person in this case.

The food was terrible but it was not the main goal of our trip. The animals look healthy and guys care about them.

it is a small but very nice zoo. we came after reading that there is an option of patting wild animals such as bears and lion cabs which has been my dream for a long time..
Take notice the cubs are quite big on October (9 months old) so if you can - it might be nicer to visit in the spring when they are younger.
Entrance to the lions and tigers is only for ages 18+. bears and kangaroos not restricted (but not sure if that is a rule or depending on the cubs age).
not a hole day activity, 1-3 hours max.
I think it is well worth a visit if you in the area.

Were there with our kids. Both us and the kids enjoyed there more than expected. It seems that they treat animals with respect and love and don't drug them. You can pet some of the animals, which is very cool.
