    Disappointed this time
To be fair there isn't a lot of choice for watching sport in Bratislava, but as I cam here a few years ago and enjoyed it I came back. This time it wasn't as good, half the pub seemed to be shut off behind a curtain and there were two people watching Napoli in the bar area and all those (15 plus) watching Liverpool and Madrid had to move out. I'm not sure if the downstairs was open this time but a few years ago that and upstairs was packed for a European Champions League night. Service was slow and there was no atmosphere

Decent for music, Premier League and Cheap beer.
Came here on a couple of occasions. First time we just came for some drinks and some music etc and thats exactly what we got downstairs. I'd read that there was an upstairs area which showed sport and was more chilled (we'd apparently missed this area during the first visit) so we came a second time to sit uostairs and watch some Premier League football. Upstairs bar is quite easy to miss and could do with some better signage to show its there, as I said earlier, we missed it during the firzt time round. Beer is cheap. Nice little place for music and/or a sit down in a quieter area. Would visit again if I visit Bratislava again!

A (sports) bar in central Bratislava
A sports bar, tough to be honest its more of a normal bar. Genuine drink and no food menu, only some nibbles are available. Lady running the bar was very welcoming and switched to match I requested instantly. Perhaps not the best place to watch a game, but with limited options in central Bratislava, this place will deliver. Some things did bother me, such as even tough bar was empty, I could barely here the commentator, seating is not comfortable, and people were popping in and out from downstairs and rarely closed the door behind them, we had to keep closing the door every 5 minutes or so.

This is by far the most horrible bar I have ever had the misfortune to visit ! Absolutely nothing going for it , was a bit like walking in to a house move , the place was untidy dirty and the staff were worse than hopeless

We had a great time at The red Lion thanks to the super friendly bartender Asha. He made us feel really welcome. Can recommend this place!

If you’re looking for a relaxed place to sit down drinks, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a lively bar with a great atmosphere, friendly locals and Karaoke, then you’ll enjoy The Red Lion.

The drinks prices are reasonable, it was full of stag do’s when we went, but we had a great time nonetheless and would visit again after a few drinks.

This was a friendly bar and they put the football match on that we wanted to see. They also had the rugby on which was good. Very cheap.

The bar is in the old town and difficult to find as it's down a narrow entrance on the left if you're walking uphill towards st Michaels gate.
Anyway I spent 2 good evenings in here watching the football. Theres 2 decent TV screens and they showed different games.
The area is fairly small and was soon reasonably busy but not cramped. It created a good atmosphere with people of all nationalities watching.
Liverpool were the big draw for the pub and quite a few went downstairs where there is another larger TV screen and a bar.
They have table football and karaoke nights.
Good pub, good atmosphere and definitely ideal for sports

We went there with 4 buddies. We left more than 100€ and the boss or his waitress didn’t even want to offer one turn... We still decided to go back to the pub because the boss promised to offer his turn if we showed up the following day. But we never got a « hello » or a shot offered... We gave more than 150€ and the boss was still bitter. The place sucks! The first night, we intended to buy 4 tee-shirts but the boss and his behavior convinced us to not to buy them and get out. It’s not surprising that the pub is always empty, with a team like that... One star because of the beer at 1€ during happy hours.
