Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staying at a hotel nearby we found a leaflet for Les Salines de Millac and decided to visit. We missed the guided tour, so we hung over the fence and appreciated all the hard work that has gone into reviving this site. It's in the middle of a lovely salt marsh with ponies, a noisy donkey, birds - a real trip into the past. We then went to the shop where we were able to buy all sorts of salty gifts - we heard that the salt pans had been in existence since the 13th century but had fallen into disuse - and then re-started 15 years ago by an enthusiastic trio. The whole experience was lovely, interesting history, really friendly people, completely authentic and so much nicer than the very commercial salt pans dotted around the countryside. Strongly recommend.

Lovely couple, that is passionat about salt. The guy was so friendly and explained everything so well. Well worth the visit. You have to book in the little shop that is 5 minutes away by car from the salt fields. Where you, of course, can also buy every salt you can imagine. You have to understand french, because the tour is only in french.
