Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This terrace is located in a strategic place, because you can admire both the beauty of Positano and the colors of a beautiful sunset. Good food and good cocktails! I hope to return soon!

We wanted to get out of Positano and have some drinks somewhere peaceful. We took the SITA bus for about 20 minutes and got off in Praiano. This hotel was close to the bus stop. We walked up to the entrance and asked a staff member where we could have a drink, he personally escorted us up to an unexpectedly romantic roof top bar. I don't even want to share this with TA because it was so peaceful.

The sun had just set and the candle lit roof top was very serene. The view of Positano from the roof was amazing. Shortly after being seated the waiter will bring over Mediterranean olives, a couple of freshly barbecued chicken wings and homemade zucchini tempura. The classical/ jazz music was perfect and the modern patio furniture and beautiful curtains completed the fresh vibe. We enjoyed the chicken so much we ordered a plate of it. We also had a Caipirnha, a Bloody Mary, and a Bellini all of which were great!

While staying in Positano we noticed most of the places with a view charge a cover charge/ coperto, we were at Chez Black and they charged us 3 Euro a person on top of our dinner, dessert, and bottle of wine. There was no cover charge here, which was nice.

We met a couple of hotel guests while we were there and they raved about the service and friendliness of the hotel staff and owners. They also said they would stay there again in a heart beat.

Throught my travels in Italy, I have stayed in 4 & 5 star accommodation. Though this modest little hotel in Praiano, Italy - conveniently located between Amalfi & Positano, felt familiar! The friendly family service provide by Luigi, his younger sister and their mother truly allowed me to enjoy myself & relax. Their willingness to assist with sights and travel requirements, as well as adorable attempts to set us up with their friends and relatives, made our experience in the Amalfi Coast. It also made the difference to have scrambled eggs made to order :-D a massive 2 thumbs up - well worth it!

Where to start? The location along the Amalfi coast is perfect. The SITA bus drops you literally at the hotel, as well as the smaller bus line that connects Praiano to Positano. You are also at road level, which you will find out is important because you don't have to walk up hundreds of steps like some of the other travellers I met that were staying in other rentals. (You'll need to save your energy for the steps up from the beach - which can't be avoided but well worth it). I traveled by myself and was a bit nervous at first - which was completely allayed once Luigi greeted me as I stepped off the bus. The hotel is run by four family members as well as other amazingly fun and sweet staff (Enzo!) They all make you feel as welcome as a local, if not as part of their family. My wake up call on more than one occassion was from Luigi's mom with a "Buongiorno Cara" :) Luigi also did a great job of introducing me to other English speaking travelers - both staying at and away from the hotel, as well as locals. I made lots of friends that I hung out with throughout the two weeks I was there. The hotel serves a great breakfast (included), as well as other snacks at the bar. No meals other than breakfast and snacks but there are tons of great restaurants within 300 feet of the hotel. They are helpful with suggestions and reservations. The hotel is often a meeting place of the town - locals and tourists, 20 year olds, 80 year olds, a priest! - usually all gathered around the tv to watch "futbol" This is an experience in and of itself. Rooms are spacious, comfortable ( I slept for 12 hours my first night there), and well cared for (fresh flowers each day). I would recommend requesting a room with a balcony - the views of the sunset are breathtaking (not many other towns on the Amalfi coast get to see sunsets like Praino does). I always finished my evenings with a glass of wine on the balcony taking in the twinkling Amalfi coastline. The hotel is also steps away from Vivaro - the most fun wine bar, that also serves amazing food (see separate review). I can't say enough about this hotel. My trip to Praiano was the most amazing trip, and it would not have been had I stayed anywhere else. See for yourself, but prepared to be disappointed with your stays everywhere else!

A great bar on the main drag of Praiano with friendly staff and very reasonable priced drinks. Luigi who runs the place can provide you with great recommendations for the town's restaurants plus makes a great cocktail. The place to drink and observe the local colour in Praiano.

We were traveling with a group in the summer and we visited Le Fioriere for cocktails EVERY night of our stay. Priaino is a small, quiet and peaceful place with not much nightlife, so Le Fioriere was a welcome suprise. The owner, Luigi, his sister and their staff were the most hospitable hosts and they made us feel so welcome - like family!

Le Fioriere is a great place to hang out in the evening in Praiano. The expertly mixed drinks, the carefully selected wines, the friendly staff of Rosalia and Luigi, and the relaxed atmosphere in general make you want to come back. I certainly will!

Of all the places I have traveled within Europe (10 countries thus far), the Amalfi Coast is my favourite location and Le Fioriere in Praiano is my favourite hotel. For those of you who plan to visit the Amalfi Coast area and desire a central location, I highly recommend you stay at Le Fioriere as opposed to the surrounding towns of Amalfi and Positano Why? Because Le Fioriere is directly between the two towns. It has a view of Positano and The Isle of Capri from the balcony of nearly every room. The night life is absolutely wonderful at the Le Fioriere Cocktail and Wine Bar. Very relaxing atmostphere, outstanding drinks (many made from scratch instead of using a drink mix), unlimited olives and chips to snack on and excellent music that makes you want the night to never end. There is also an amazing seafood restaurant directly across the street (15 ft) and an Italian restaurant a few feet down the street, which has a lovely terrace seating area (my personal favourite). On days you wish you see Amalfi or Positano, the bus stop is directly in front of the hotel - VERY convenient! If you're keen to stay at the hotel all day, there is a beach just a short walk down from the hotel (it's a healthy walk down several steps, take note). The family owned and operated Le Fioriere feels like home the moment you walk in the door. It's not uncomfortable or superficial like many 5 star hotels. It has charm, modesty and romance (for those seeking it). Le Fioriere is my favourite escape vacation spot. It stole my heart the moment I walk in the door.

We spent 4 evenings in this Bar and also with it's owner Luigi. He was very accomodating and made the most amazing drinks. Bloody Mary with NO Mix, from scratch! Mojitos..... AWESOME. and of course...................fabulous Olives!

If you are on the Amalfi coast I highly recommend this establishment.
