Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's a big experience to visit the island where Napoleon Bonaparte was in exile from May 4th 1814 until February 26th 1815. It is a beautiful island and definitely worth to visit it when you are in the province of Livorno.

out of all the beaches we visited this was our favorite, not so much because of of its lovely golden sand, it has none since it is comprised of smooth bleached white rocks, but because it is achingly beautiful. We went in April, the water temps were still sub-60, but one of my main goal s in going to the Mediterranean is to swim in it. So we both braved the frigid, exhilarating water in a setting that can only be described as paradise.

The Spiaggia di Sansone is a little hard to get to.
Parking is by side of road and then you have to walk down a paved road for about 250 metres and then a rough track to get to the beach.
You could drive to this track to offload passengers, but then you would need to park the car on the road above.
Once there you are almost blinded by the white pebbles on this small beach and you will be amazed at the clear blue water that lets you see the bottom. Sparkling like a thousand stars.
A small kiosk sells water, ice cream and also hires out deck chairs and umbrella..
Absolutely fantastic.
20 Minutes outside Portoferrario.

I went to Elba every years since 2000 and I have always been there . The problem is the parking if you go by car (not for motorcycle), but it's still worth trust me.

Ordinary place. Had to borrow a key from campsite to get there. Water clear but ive seen better. Water full of stinging jellyfish. Not a nice place. Would never go back. Biodola is way better with all the amenities necessary.

Water was the clearest we have seen on any of our travels - including our home Australia.
Plenty to do for children - swimming/snorkelling/diving off rocks.
A must see!

Overcrowded in high season, at its best in May or June, this gravel beach awaits you after a relatively tough downhill. From the top the view is breathtaking. Once there the crystal clear water a great reward fot the slog. Go there early and enjoy.
