Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was packed with people during lunch time, a bit hard to find a parking but we got lucky. The first floor showed story of NK, how it was to the end, pretty interesting.

But on the second floor, on the back side, it showed the art and modern painting and design, not much but really inspiring for my 12 years old daughter.

Ok, first off, we hiked 12.4 miles when all was said and done. Provided with a backpack filled with a canteen, hot water thermos, sandwich, compass, apple, chocolate bar, sit-upon, and map (provided by Stockholm Adventures), we felt fairly prepared for the trip.

Only snag was it took about an hour to actually get on the correct trail. Based on the instructions, we were supposed to take the path to the RIGHT of the entrance sign, which we did. And, then we were to follow the orange marked trees, which we did. There was nothing mentioned about a fork in the trail with TWO sets of marked trees in orange. Needless to say, we ended up going on the wrong trail and landed ourselves in the Alby Nature Preserve.

Once we righted ourselves and got over our initial frustration, the hike was quite pleasant. I admit, by about mile 10 I was done for the day. But, the serenity of the area was unmatched. It was so quiet at times, that the only sound was that of my feet as I marched along. No birds, no wildlife...just green, green forests filled with unfamiliar plants and flowers. We did see a toad, but mostly it was just scenery.

We ate lunch on the banks of one of the lakes we passed. It was breathtaking. For the entire five-hour hike, I think we bumped into a handful of people.

This experience was one of those events in one's life that you suspect will never be repeated, but will never be forgotten.

Hiking "Sörmlandsleden" is always a really nice experience. The trail is long with around 60 different "hikes", ranging from 10 up to 25 km.
This time we hiked from Trosa to the beautiful Tullgarns castle, where we stayed at the "Tullgarns värdshus" and continued to Kasholmen. The trail runs close to the coast along lovely corn and wheat fields.

If you want to walk the whole of Sörmlandsleden, it's around 1000 km long. However, you can of course pick a shorter walk and there are also circle routes to choose from. The trails are wellkept and wellmarked, there are shelters where you can sleep and arranged barbeque areas.
It's a great way to experience the nature of Sörmland.
