Incredibly authentic tapas bar

This bar has been operated by the same family since 1873. From the gloriously faded paint on the walls, to the pianist who was pounding out jazz, to the simple yet delicious tapas menu, this place feels as though it hasn't changed in decades. We stumbled in by accident since it was close to our hotel and came back twice during our week-long stay. Service is low-key but attentive. The crowd is mostly neighborhood locals and expats. This place quickly became our home away from home in Barcelona.

Old world charm, top notch sangria and service

Wonderful place, frequented mainly by locals. Sangria is superb. I also enjoyed tapas and geese sandwich. Service was friendly and helpful, with enough English to assist my little Spanish to get by. Marble top tables, free wifi, a comfortable and relaxing place to nurse a drink or coffee and settle in for a read.
This will be top of my list when I return to Barcelona.

Great wine, beer and food, Great staf. Piano needs a repair,but the pianoplayer is good. We had a nice time during our visit.
