Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I did this tour more than 3 years ago ( March 2017) and I still love to think back on it. It was definitely a highlight of my trip, because it is also a lot about the real Normandie. The tour guide gives so much background knowledge about the people and places, while you really visite remote areas and enjoy delicious cidres and cheeses you might otherwise never have tasted. I'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

The tour was wonderful. Damien went above and beyond to show me Normandy through his eyes in addition to our tastings. If you have time to take a tour with him I highly recommend that you do so, I’m sure you will be glad you did.

Nina was the perfect guide for exploring and tasting the beautiful Normandy countryside. She taught us so much about cheese production and making cider, pommeau and calvados. We had wonderful cheese and calvados tastings, and a special picnic lunch on a charming farm. Nina was extremely accomondating and insured that we would have a wide selection of delicious food. We even stopped in a small town to buy fresh bread. After the second calvados tasting, we stopped in the most beautiful town. It felt like we stepped into a movie set. It was a great day! Thank you, Nina, for the experience of a lifetime. If you are a foodie, don't miss it!

My family and I booked a private full day Cheese and Cider tour and it was hands down the most memorable and unique experience during our time in France. Nina was our tour guide and she was amazing! Not only was she engaging and personable, but she was so knowledgeable as well. We asked her a lot of questions, most of which she was able to answer, and if she didn't know then she made sure to directly ask the farmer or manufacturer, which was much appreciated. We not only learned a ton about cheese and cider production in France and also about French culture overall. We had a train to catch to Paris after the tour and Nina went above and beyond by calling to ask if we could board at another station and then driving us to the train station after the tour. I have a greater appreciation of French cheeses now and I would highly recommend this once in a lifetime experience to anyone who visits Normandy!

My husband and I did the full day tour in August. The meeting spot was great as there is plenty of parking underneath the castle.

Etienne picked us up in his van and gave us an overview of everything cider, cheese and history on the drive. He was super informative without being boring and was fun to talk to as well.

We first went to a more commercial cheese factory which was neat because they had windows overlooking the production floor so you could see all the steps.

The next stop was a smaller dairy and cheese farm. We were able to go into the barn and get up close to the cows. Etienne made us a picnic lunch and we ate on the porch while sampling cheese and cider.

The 3rd stop was my favorite. It was a small cider farm. There was no way that we would have ever found this on our own. It was beyond charming and absolutely perfect. The pond, lily pads and church in the background looked like a monet painting. The cider was amazing. I could have easily sat on the patio for hours just soaking it all in.

The 4th stop was a larger cider and calvados producer, Where the last stop was charming, this one was elegant. We were able to walk thru the orchard and even taste some of the apples. The tasting room staff was really nice and we were able to buy some nice gifts to take home.

The last stop wasn't cheese or cider related. Etienne dropped us off at one end of a charming town. We were given time to explore, have a drink at a cafe and met hi at the other end,

Its really nice that the pick up/drop off location is close to a fun shopping street in Caen. We were staying in a smaller city so it was fun to get a little urban time in before heading back to our apartment.

I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone. Etienne was a great guide, The scenery was amazing and we went so many places that I wouldn't have even know about if I was planning this on my own.

Nina was our guide for a small group tour where we visited a dairy facility that produces fresh Livarot, Pont-l'eveque, Camembert and Neufchatel. The tour continued to 2 different cider/Calvados producers and ended with a pass through Beuvron-en-Auge, one of the most beautiful villages of lower Normandy. Nina was very knowledgeable about the products, the towns and the history and a very enthusiastic ambassador for of the Normandy people. Really can't say enough about how happy my wife and I were with the tour. Thank you Nina!

My father and I really enjoyed the afternoon spent with Etienne touring the agricultural regions of Normandy. He delivered an excellent mix of Norman history and interesting stories about the local food producers. There was plenty of cider / calvados to try and no obligation to buy anything at the end. He’s an expert, and you’ll leave feeling educated as well as full!
