Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While walking around Caen, my wife and I chanced upon Eglise Saint-Seplecre, the oldest portions of which (based on my research) were built in 1219. It is situated at the top of a hill and appears to have a commanding view of the town. Thus, during the June 1944 WWII Battle of Caen its strategic location must have made an important one to capture. One side of the church has several of what appear to be bullet holes. Also on that same (uphill) side of the church it appears that all of the former stained glass windows have been filled in with brick. The church has its own little park with several trees and lots of floral bushes and a couple of benches for sitting. We were not able to get inside so cannot comment on the interior. However, the adjacent park makes this historic church a nice place to visit.
