Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's the heart of the Marais and a place to come to for shopping, shopping, shopping. The stores around are small and unique. Not necessarily a place for bargains, but definitely a place for things you cannot find at home. Lots of historic buildings all around.

Located in the middle of the marais is the very popular shopping street especially on a Sunday, as most streets are closed to vehicle's, an added bonus is shops are allowed to remain open on Sundays, creating a hub for visitors.

One of the major streets in the Marais, famous for the clothing boutiques you will find here. The shopping is great, the architecture as well. Good place to spend some time.

We walked along here on our recent visit and were reminded of all of the very good and very high end fashion along here. So shoppers should flock here. Otherwise it is one of the few cross town streets in the Marais and supports a good bus line.

Love to wander about on Sunday. Have done this many times. Like wandering in and out of all the lovely stores and having lunch in the area. There is music on the street and the vibe of lots of people having a good time. Nothing to like - and a way to spend an enjoyable day.

This street/ area as others have said is a great street for shopping , food , clothing ,lots of stuff. One building of interest to me was at number 39 .It is the newer Uniqlo building which has a long history, its worth the look even if you do not shop.
It is a converted factory , a foundry used by goldsmiths for smelting waste products. The building is 3 storeys high with part of the basement left to its industrial past. On the fist floor protruding up through the roof is a 40 metre chimney which is from the old smelter in the basement, structural steel has also been used and left in areas, so the finish I consider very good and worth a look.

This narrow street crosses the Marais and provides rare cross-town traffic, including a bus line. On both sides are unique shops, some set back in courtyards. Lots of cafes, restaurants and historic buildings. The best of the Marais.

Love this street, great people watching, many shops. this is one of the main streets that leads into the marais from the west. Streets are closed to cars on sunday so that is the best day, even better when sunny.

Great street to walk on a Sunday as it has many open shops, lots of people walking about and sometimes some entertainment. Today there was a jazz band playing. The musicians were very good and it attracted a lot of people. The street also has beautiful buildings. This is a great area in Paris.

Now one of Paris's most exclusive shopping areas and super-popular, so much so that the crowds spill off the sidewalks and block one of the few cross-town streets in the Marais. Cafes and restaurants.

What are the general opening and closing hours for these shops?

my guess would be 11-8. maybe 10-7 but the stores in Paris open pretty late in the morning and in the summer months when it's not dark until 10 they might be open till 8. i think the department store are. this is a well travelled street all day.
